TRIGGER UNIT FOR A FIREARM
A trigger unit including a support adapted to be mounted on a receiver of a firearm and supporting components of a trigger mechanism and a safety system; the trigger unit is modular; the support includes a plurality of seats adapted to accommodate one or more different functional components in various combinations.
Non-Contact Electro-Magnetic Actuator and Method
A rifle or portable firearm assembly (e.g., 310) configured to work with user-actuable sensors and systems (e.g., S1-S4), comprises a removable receiver assembly 312 attached to and responsive to a trigger assembly 50 which are removably received in a stock or chassis 316 having a middle section 324 with a trigger motion sensing sidewall segment with at least one trigger motion sensor (e.g., 340L, 340R) which does not physically contact or attach to the trigger assembly and is instead spaced from every component of the trigger assembly when the receiver is installed in said stock or chassis. The trigger motion sensor is configured to sense, from a selected standoff distance, without contacting or interfering the trigger assembly in any way, at least one of (a) the trigger's first stage movement or (b) actuation of a safety lever, and generate a trigger motion sensed signal in response thereto.
Methods and apparatus for sealed trigger housing
A sealed trigger housing according to various aspects of the present technology is configured to provide a more effective method of preventing foreign debris from entering the trigger housing. Various embodiments of the sealed trigger housing comprise a pair of side plates configured to at least partially house a trigger, a hammer, and a selector switch within an interior portion of the trigger housing. A plurality of sealing elements may be used to create a seal around any component that protrudes outwardly from the trigger housing.
Linear trigger mechanisms for firearms
Linear trigger mechanisms for firearms include a trigger slide mounted on, and configured to move linearly in relation to a chassis; and a hammer. The trigger slide has a rolling element, such as a pin-mounted roller or a rolling pin, that engages a contact surface on the hammer and thereby restrains the hammer against its spring bias. When the user pulls the trigger to discharge the firearm, the trigger slide moves linearly, causing the rolling element to roll off of the contact surface and thereby release the hammer. The trigger mechanisms can be equipped with a drop safety that rotates in response to an impact between the firearm and the ground, so as to interfere with the movement of the trigger slide and prevent the release of the hammer.
FIREARM MAGAZINE
A number of embodiments of a firearm are disclosed where the firearm includes a magazine configured to hold the bolt in an open position when the magazine is empty. In one embodiment, the firearm includes a bolt stop mechanism that moves between a first position where it allows the bolt to cycle between an open position and a closed position and a second position where it holds the bolt in the open position. The magazine is configured to actuate the bolt stop mechanism to the first position when the magazine is empty.

Modular trigger assembly with retractable locking pins
A modular trigger assembly having auto-tensioning hammer pin and trigger pins which allow for rapid installation and removal of the modular trigger assembly from the lower receiver of an ArmaLite style modular rifle using minimal tools. When installed and under tension, the auto-tensioning pins remain flush with the exterior of the lower receiver and present no external parts outside of the lower receiver while maintaining anti-walk and anti-roll properties.

HYBRID MOLDED FIREARM ASSEMBLIES
A hybrid molded assembly includes a trigger comprising a trigger skeleton and a trigger molded portion that at least partially encompasses the trigger skeleton, a hammer comprising a hammer skeleton and a hammer molded portion that at least partially encompasses the hammer skeleton, and a disconnector comprising a disconnector skeleton and a disconnector molded portion that at least partially encompasses the disconnector skeleton.
MODULAR TRIGGER CONTROL UNIT FOR FIREARMS
Various examples of a modular trigger control unit for firearms are described. A trigger mechanism housing, as part of the modular trigger control unit, can be removably received in a grip frame of a semi-automatic firearm such that, when received in the grip frame, a serial number of the firearm displayed on the trigger mechanism housing faces a back side of the grip frame and is visible through an opening on the back side of the grip frame.
