Compensating muzzle brake (CMB) with supersonic gas stream interruption system
FIELD: gas units. SUBSTANCE: muzzle brake-compensator (MBC) with a system for interrupting a supersonic gas flow contains a housing, annular elements connected to each other by cutting off chambers with nozzles. The nozzles are united by an internal through channel for the passage of the projectile and the gas jet. In the working area of each cut-off chamber, at least one side outlet window is located so that when the MBC is installed on the end of the weapon barrel, the side outlet windows of each chamber are oriented perpendicularly or at an angle back to the direction of the outgoing gases. EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the effectiveness of the muzzle device, a decrease in recoil and a decrease in toss when fired.
Apparatus for improving the performance of firearms

MUZZLE BRAKE FOR MUZZLE-LOADING FIREARM
A muzzle brake for use with a firearm such as a muzzle-loading firearm, and including at least one access port in the muzzle brake that is large enough (for example at least about 0.5″ or more minimum dimension) for access by a user's fingertip to remove a cleaning patch from the muzzle brake. One or more vent ports that are relatively smaller than the access port may also be provided in the muzzle brake. An insert may be fitted within the muzzle brake to enhance wear resistance and extend its service life.

Modular firearm muzzle attachment system
A modular firearm muzzle attachment system provides for customizing muzzle attachment characteristics by assembling selectable muzzle attachment components corresponding to desired characteristics. The system includes a plurality of internal connectors engageable together in series in a selectable order to form an internal assembly having a conduit defined by channels extending through each internal connector coupled together to form the internal assembly. Each of the internal connectors is individually structured to have associated characteristics. Each of a plurality of shrouds is couplable to a selectable one of the internal connectors of the internal assembly such that the internal assembly extends through the plurality of shrouds to define a muzzle attachment configured for coupling to a firearm.

ADJUSTABLE TUNING DEVICE
An adjustable tuning device includes an externally threaded mounting member having a base defining an aperture and a tuning weight having internal threads configured to mate with the externally threaded mounting member. The aperture can be configured to receive a forward portion of a gun such that a threaded protrusion extends forward of the base. The mounting member can have a rear surface configured to abut a forward-facing shoulder of the gun. The tuning weight is rotatable about the mounting member to move in a range of axial positions with respect to the mounting member and a barrel axis. The mounting member can have a skirt extending from the base. The mounting member can have an external diameter at an externally threaded portion, and the tuning weight can have a rear portion with an internal diameter less than the external diameter of the mounting member.
