A bow (e.g., compound bow, cross bow, etc.) that includes a cable splitter. The cable splitter is easy to install in that it does not require access to the yoke ends of the bow string. The cable splitter is self-anchoring to the cable. In addition, the cable splitter eliminates the need for a separate saddle and separate section of cable. The cable splitter also allows for tuning for cam lean by adding or removing twist in the yoke ends.

A bow including: a frame having a predetermined length; a first pulley and a second pulley arranged on a first position and second position of the frame respectively; a first small diameter cam and a first large diameter cam rotated interlocked with the first pulley; a second small diameter cam and a second large diameter cam rotated interlocked with the second pulley; a string fixed to the first pulley and the second pulley, the first pulley and the second pulley being rotated when the string is pulled; a first cable and a second cable arranged in a linear shape between the first (second) small diameter cam and the second (first) large diameter cam, the first cable and the second cable being elastically deformed by being wound around the second large diameter cam or the first large diameter cam when the string is pulled.

In some embodiments, an archery bow limb assembly comprises a first limb, a second limb and a spacer. The spacer contacts the first limb and the second limb. The first limb comprises a limb material. The spacer comprises a spacer material comprising a higher elastic modulus than the limb material. A width of the spacer is less than a width of the first limb.

Crossbows are provided having a barrel with one limb and one winding system mounted to each of two opposite sides of the barrel. Each winding system has a limb string connected to one of the limbs and a limb cam about which the limb string can be wound. The limb cams are connected to and positioned apart from arrow string cams by respective interconnects and an arrow string extends across the barrel from an arrow string cam on one side of the barrel to an arrow string cam on the other side of the barrel. The limbs provide first forces urging the limb strings to unwind from the limb cams and the interconnects receive the first forces and convey a second forces to the arrow cams urging the arrow cams to rotate so as to wind the arrow strings onto the arrow cams. The arrow string is drawn against such urging.

A crossbow may include a main beam, a riser with a U-shaped opening, a pair of bow limbs and a bowstring. The riser may have limb attachment surfaces that are separated such that a minimum distance between them is at least as wide as a user's foot but not greater than about 5 inches. The riser may have a U-shaped opening that is designed to receive a user's foot.

A crossbow including a center rail including a rail body and a riser, a first flexible limb coupled to the riser, a second flexible limb coupled to the riser, and a first cam mounted to the first flexible limb and rotatable around a first cam axis. The first cam including a first draw string journal defining a first draw string plane of rotation perpendicular to the first cam axis, and a first power cable take-up journal extending in a direction perpendicular to the first draw string plane of rotation. The crossbow further including a second cam mounted to the second flexible limb and rotatable around a second cam axis. The second cam including a second draw string journal defining a second plane of rotation perpendicular to the second cam axis, and a second power cable take-up journal extending in a direction perpendicular to the second draw string plane of rotation.

In some embodiments, a bow comprises a first limb supporting a first rotatable member. The first rotatable member comprises a first bowstring track and a first terminal post. A second limb supports a second rotatable member. The second rotatable member comprising a second bowstring track and a second terminal post. A bowstring comprises a first end attached to the first terminal post and a second end attached to the second terminal post. The first bowstring track and the second bowstring track are oriented in a bowstring plane, and the first terminal post is laterally offset from the bowstring plane.

Aspects of the present disclosure deal with cams and/or cam systems mounted or mountable on an archery bow. In one embodiment, the cam system is a hybrid cam system with a master/drive cam and a slave/driven cam. The cam system is designed to enable large draw length adjustments to fit a variety of archers. To facilitate the draw length adjustment, the master/drive cam includes a control module. The slave/driven cam includes an adjustable control cable post. In one example, the control module and the control cable post may have three different mounting locations, each corresponding to a different draw length range.

An archery bow can include a member that is adjustable or replaceable relative to a cam assembly. The member can be affixed to the cam assembly such that the member contacts one or more cables while the archery bow is in a fully drawn or near-fully drawn state. The member can be adjustable, replaceable, swappable, or otherwise modifiable to contact particular portions of the cable disposed at various distances from an axis of rotation about which the cam assembly is rotating. While in a first configuration, the member can contact a portion of the cable that is a first distance from the axis of rotation. While in a second configuration, the member can be replaced or repositioned to contact a portion of the cable that is a second distance from the axis of rotation.

A crossbow includes a frame, a riser coupled to the frame, a first flexible limb, a second flexible limb, a third flexible limb, and a fourth flexible limb. A first cam assembly couples to the first flexible limb and the second limb and includes a first draw string journal, a first power cable journal, and a second power cable journal. A second cam assembly couples to the third flexible limb and the fourth flexible limb and includes a second draw string journal, a third power cable journal, and a fourth power cable journal. A draw string is received in the first draw string journal and the second draw string journal. Power cables cross over the center rail, above and below the draw string, and are received in the first power cable journal, the second power cable journal, the third power cable journal, and the fourth power cable journal, respectively.
