The tension amplifying assembly also includes a plurality of piston-cylinder assemblies, at least one reservoir tillable with a fluid, at least one valve, and a switch device configured to be operatively coupled to the at least one valve. The connection members are configured to cause the limbs to move from the first positions to the second positions in response to an operation of the switch device, and the movements cause the tension in the bow string to increase.
