Power rake devices
A dethatcher includes a frame having front and rear ends, a cover coupled to the frame and configured to selectively move between an open position and a closed position, a handle extending from the frame, multiple wheels coupled to the frame, a cutting reel housed in the frame, and an engine for powering a drive mechanism of the shaft. The cutting reel includes a shaft having a first end and a second end, at least one cutting mechanism located between the first end and the second end of the shaft, and the drive mechanism for powering the shaft. When the cover is in the open position, a user may access the cutting reel from a top end of the frame.
LAND CLEARING ATTACHMENT AND ROTOR FOR THE SAME
A land clearing attachment for a tractor device includes semi-helically oriented teeth, knives, or blades radially outward from an outer surface of a rotor. Each tooth, knife, or blade is part of a row of teeth, knives, or blades. Each row is oriented with an offset angle such that the spirally orientation completes angular offset of about 90 or less.
CYLINDRICAL DEVICE WITH KNIVES CONNECTED THERETO
A cylindrical device includes semi-helically oriented teeth, knives, or blades radially outward from an outer surface of the cylindrical device or rotor. Each tooth, knife, or blade is part of a row of teeth, knives, or blades. Each row is oriented with an offset angle such that the spirally orientation completes angular offset of about 90 or less. The knives may have sharpened edges that are oriented to cut on different planes as the cylindrical device rotates. The knives may be held in place by holders that have configurations to oriented the knives at certain angles.
Land clearing attachment and rotor for the same
A land clearing attachment for a tractor device includes semi-helically oriented teeth, knives, or blades radially outward from an outer surface of a rotor. Each tooth, knife, or blade is part of a row of independent teeth, knives, or blades. Each row is oriented with an offset angle such that the spirally orientation completes angular offset of about 90 or less.
SOIL PENETRATING APPARATUS WITH DEPTH CONTROL
A soil penetrating apparatus having an automatic tool (e.g., aerator tine) depth control system and method. The system includes an actuator that sets and controls tine depth, a sensor that monitors tine depth, and a controller that controls the actuator in response to the sensor. In some embodiments, the actuator is a hydraulic actuator, wherein once tine depth is set, flow to the actuator is bypassed. A relief may be provided to allow the tines to lift to a shallower depth temporarily when soil hardness exceeds a threshold. The system may then automatically return the tines to the pre-selected depth once soil conditions permit.
Twin shaft gardening system
A gardening system includes a drive shaft operably coupled to first and second shafts for driving the first shaft in a first direction and the second shaft in a second direction. A first ground manipulation device is attached to the first shaft. A second ground manipulation device is attached to the second shaft.

Power rake devices
A dethatcher includes a frame having front and rear ends and a handle extending from the frame rear end. Wheels are coupled to the frame, and a cutting reel is housed in the frame. An engine is included for powering the cutting reel. In one embodiment, a bottom of the engine is below a top of the cutting reel when the cutting reel is in use. In another embodiment, the cutting reel is located between the engine and the frame front end. Another dethatcher has sequentially from a rear end: a handle, an engine, a cutting reel powered by the engine, and a bagger for collecting debris from the cutting reel.
Plant vine chopper assembly
A plant vine chopper rotor drum assembly has a plurality of rotor rings spaced along, encircling, and attached to the longitudinal outer surface of a rotatable main drum tube. Each rotor ring has one or more pairs of angled mounting tabs that alternate to the left and to the right to the general plane of respective rotor ring; and the rotor rings are distributed in a cutting zone along and surrounding the longitudinal rotational axis of the drum tube with each mounting tab having a generally planar cutting blade attached. The angled blades distributed around the outer circumference of the ring cooperate one with another during operational rotation of the drum to guard each blade and the drum against the wrapping of clogging fibrous strands and other clogging material around the drum.
