Methods and apparatus for a conducted electrical weapon
A conducted electrical weapon (CEW) launches wire-tethered electrodes from multiple cartridges to provide a current through a human or animal target to impede locomotion of the target. The CEW may detect when the electrodes launched from the cartridges may provide the current through more than one target. The CEW may detect when electrodes launched from the cartridges may provide the current through the same target. The CEW may set the pulse rate of the current based on detecting the launch of electrodes from more than one cartridge, detecting that electrodes may provide the current through two or more targets, and/or detecting that two or more pairs of electrodes may deliver the current through the same target.
Electric projection weapons system
The invention is a weapon/protection system that generates two or more channels of physical medium in which travels an electric current. The current circulates though the channels due to their impedance being lower than that of air. From the generated electrical potential difference resulting at the target, the current can mildly shock, stun or fully paralyze a subject; therefore the device can be used as a weapon or deterrent for entry.
This system incorporates a novel means of converging physical medium onto a controlled point in space. The system may also incorporate methods that modify the medium's viscosity in order to increase the length of continuous laminar in the channel of a jet medium (the jet length without droplet formation or discontinuous breakdown). The aforementioned medium may also be heated gas.

ACCESSORY DEVICE FOR A CONDUCTED ELECTRICAL WEAPON
An accessory device may be configured to output an electrical signal from a conducted electrical weapon (CEW). An accessory device may include a conducted energy shield. A conducted energy shield may include a shield body having a receiving unit for removably receiving a CEW that is used to provide an electrical current to one or more discharge rails disposed along a forward facing surface of the shield body and configured to deliver a high voltage current to an object coming into contact with the discharge rails. Once the CEW is removed from the receiving unit the shield body is unable to generate an electrical current across the discharge rails.
Electromagnetic safety device
A safety system includes an electromagnet positioned in an area. A power controller is coupled to the electromagnet to supply power to the electromagnet in accordance with an event. A trigger mechanism configured to trigger the event when the area is traversed by a person with a weapon such that upon activation of the electromagnet a magnetic force is generated capable of attracting the weapon to make continued use difficult or impossible within the area.
Systems and methods for a close quarters weapon
Systems and methods for a close quarters weapon include disassembly of the weapon by the user to permit applying a stimulus signal for causing skeletal muscle contractions through tissue of a human or animal target between locations on the target that are independently determined by the user.
Stun device testing apparatus and methods
A method of testing an electric discharge stun device includes the steps of identifying a stun device to be tested and absorbing a discharge from the stun device into a tester. The discharge is characterized by a discharge characteristic that is then compared automatically to information such as (a) a previous corresponding characteristic associated with a previous discharge of the stun device or (b) a corresponding characteristic associated with a prior discharge of at least one other stun device. The characteristic can be a waveform, a peak voltage, duration, current, joule, and temperature.
Electrified baton
An electrical weapon may include a shaft, an arm, first electrode, and a second electrode. The arm may be pivotably coupled to the shaft and the first electrode may be coupled to the arm such that a position of the electrode changes in accordance with a change in position of the arm. The electrical weapon may be an electrified baton. The electrical weapon may further include a second arm pivotably coupled to the shaft. The second electrode may be coupled to the second arm. The electrical weapon may enable a stimulus signal to be applied via the electrodes at a distance from a user of the electrical weapon, thus improving safety of the user. An electrode may include an electrode array comprising a plurality of conductors and a stimulus signal may be conducted between pairs of the conductors via ionization of air between the conductors.
