Quick Mounting System for Rifles
A quick mounting system for securing a long gun to a carrier comprises a quick-release clamp having first and second opposingly disposed jaw components, a biasing member urging the first and second jaw components apart, and a lever coupled to the first jaw component and configured to urge the first jaw component toward the second jaw component while in a first position and to allow the first jaw component to be urged apart from the second jaw component by the biasing member while in a second position. The first and second jaw components are contoured to firmly and securely grasp an accessory rail mounted on the long gun by operations of the lever.
Firearm stablizing clip
A firearm stabilizing clip, for use with a firearm having a rear portion and body armor having a front vertical edge. The clip includes a main part having an upper jaw, a lower jaw, and a hinge between the upper jaw and lower jaw. The upper jaw and lower jaw each have a proximal end. A pair of lever rails are selectively attachable to the proximal ends of the upper jaw and lower jaw to open the main part. A stabilizing fin extends from the upper jaw and includes a broad contact surface. Once the main part is secured over the front vertical edge of the body armor, the rear portion of the firearm can rest against the broad contact surface to steady the firearm.
FIREARM HARNESS SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for supporting a firearm in a generally vertical position includes a stock support member to support the stock of the firearm, a first fastening element operatively connectable to a user, and a second fastening element mounted with respect to the firearm. The system is configured such that the first and second fastening elements remain engaged when the firearm is in the generally vertical position so that the firearm is supported only by the fastening elements and the stock support member, but automatically disengage when the firearm is moved to a generally horizontal position for firing. A method includes connecting the first fastening element to a human user via a flexible harness and moving the firearm from the first position to the second position.
BARREL HELD FIREARM CARRIER
A firearm carrier that is design and configured to hold a firearm. In one embodiment, the firearm is a pump-action (or slide-action) firearm, such as a scattergun. The firearm can have a rear portion with a pistol grip, and a forward portion with a barrel and a pump-action (or slide-action) receiver. The firearm carrier can be secured to a user's waist and leg, and then the firearm can be removably secured to the firearm carrier. Advantageously, the firearm carrier is configured to receive a portion of the barrel of the firearm and can thus be secured to the firearm carrier. The firearm can also be rapidly removed from the firearm carrier should the user desire to remove the firearm from the firearm carrier.
Quick-Detach Mount For Quick-Detach Accessories On Firearms
A detachable firearm attachment implementable on a firearm includes a main body having a firearm attachment side and an accessory attachment side. The firearm attachment side is configured to attach to a surface of a part of the firearm. The accessory attachment side includes a socket configured such that a detachable device is coupled to and decoupled from the socket along an axis of the socket that is at an angle less than 90 from the surface of the part of the firearm. The socket is further configured with one or more indentation chambers on a surface of a cavity of the socket in which the detachable device is received when the detachable device is coupled to the socket such that, when the detachable device is coupled to the socket, a rotation of the detachable device is prevented by the one or more indentation chambers.
Sling retention device for a ballistic vest
Disclosed and claimed here is a sling retention device for an object such as a gun worn over a body vest or ballistic vest. The device allows for the user to wear a sling across their body, while preventing the sling from making contact with the user's neck. The device consists of a base, an articulating hook, a spring and an attachment strap. The base is a rigid rectangle that lies flat on the user's shoulder and is attached to the vest by a strap that secures the device. The articulating hook is positioned with the open end facing away from the user's neck, and captures the sling between the hook and the base. When the sling is placed in the device, the device prevents the sling from making contact with the user's neck or head thereby reducing the discomfort to the user. The spring is designed to permit release of the articulating hook and allow rapid removal of the sling from the user's shoulder.
LONG GUN STABILIZATION APPARATUS FOR USE WITH HARD BODY ARMOR
A long gun stabilization kit for use with a body armor vest, including a vest clip and a butt end portion. The vest clip includes a clip body and a ball, and has vest attachment means for attaching to the body armor vest. The vest clip is characterized by a vest interface plane having a normal, and the ball is connected to the clip body by a projection extending from the clip body at an angle that is downward, and left or right relative to the normal. The butt end portion has a socket shaped to receive the ball and permit rotation about at least one axis. Body armor may comprise a vest clip connected to a body armor vest. A long gun may have a barrel, and a stock having a butt end, a portion of the butt end having a socket of fixed geometry.
Weapon and accessory link
Attachment systems configured to fixedly hold a rail are described, including a first connector integrated with a tactical accessory mount, a base element, including a first engagement portion configured to at least partially wrap around a first edge of the rail, and a movable element configured to move relative to the base and including a second engagement portion configured to at least partially wrap around a second edge of the rail. A locking mechanism is provided to hold the movable element in a closed position with the second engagement portion holding the second edge of the rail and the first engagement portion holding the first edge of the rail. A second connector may be attached to the base element to hold the base element to the tactical accessory mount via the first connector.
INTERCHANGEABLE PLATES FOR A FIREARM
A firearm and related methods and components are disclosed. The firearm has a chassis, a stock portion coupled to the chassis, and a pair of interchangeable plates removably coupled to the chassis. Each of the pair of interchangeable plates is attachable to the chassis at a first location and a second location opposing the first location. A first one of the pair of interchangeable plates has a recess for receiving a portion of a bolt handle. A second one of the pair of interchangeable plates has a firearm tool interface.
