Firearm holster

A firearm holster for securely enclosing a firearm is provided. A spring biased triggering lever is pivotally secured to the holster. A slider attached to the firearm holster slides on the slider base from a locked position to an unlocked position upon pressing the triggering lever. A spring-biased resettable drop lock is pivotally connected to a resettable drop lock mount attached to the holster and extends into an ejection port of a firearm secured in the firearm holster. The resettable drop lock pivots out of the ejection port of the firearm in the firearm holster by contact with the slider as the slider moves from a locked position into an unlocked position. A secondary lock includes a helical lock shaft disposed within a secondary lock body and extends from the lock body to rotate a secondary lock from a locked position to an unlocked position.

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a backer latch attachment system for various field-adaptable holster arrangements (such as for handgun holsters, for example). In the implementations, the backer latch attachment may be used to couple various carrier components together and/or to a holster backer to form holsters in various configurations. In various embodiments, the backer latch attachment includes a male latch support arranged to receive and to support a feature of the carrier and a female lock cover arranged to trap the feature to the male latch support.

Holster system with removable sight cover
10473427 · 2019-11-12 ·

A holster system for receiving and releasably retaining a handgun with or without a reflex sight mounted thereon. The holster body comprises a pair of opposing side wall portions and an upper wall portion. The holster body may define a rear accessory sight opening for receiving the handgun with the reflex sight attached thereto. The holster system may include a first rear sight cover selectively and robustly coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the rear accessory sight opening when a handgun with conventional sights extending upwardly about of an inch or less mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system. The holster system may also include a second rear sight cover selectively coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the sight opening when a handgun with a reflex sight mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system.

RETENTION BREAKING DEVICE TO BREAK RETENTION OF A GUN BY A POCKET HOLSTER WITHIN A FRONT PANTS POCKET AND ENABLE MOVEMENT OF THE GUN UNOBSTRUCTED BY THE FRONT PANTS POCKET AS THE GUN IS DRAWN
20240125578 · 2024-04-18 ·

A pocket gun holster is prevented from leaving a pants pocket as a gun is being drawn from the holster. An extension that is either attached or contiguous with the holster has a distal end that terminates from the mouth of the holster by more than a clearance distance and collides with an interior surface of the pants pocket as the holster and gun move in unison at the start of drawing the gun from the holster. The collision breaks retention between the gun and the holster and the clearance distance is maintained by the extension (without bending or collapsing) to enable the gun to be drawn out of the holster unobstructed by the pants pocket.

Method for manufacturing a standardized outer holster system with firearm specific inner holster inserts

Provided in this disclosure is a method for manufacturing a customizable holster. Steps are provided of molding inner holster components, including molding internal surfaces that conform to shapes of respective portions of a desired firearm design. Other substeps include molding external surfaces that conform to the shape of portions of an external mating surface of an inner holster. The inner holster components are mated to form an inner holster having an internal contact surface that conforms to the firearm design, to securely receive and retain a respective firearm within the inner holster. An outer holster is molded having an interior defined by an internal mating surface that conforms with the external mating surface of the inner holster. The inner holster is then mated to the outer holster such that the external mating surface of the inner holster is received within the internal mating surface of the outer holster.

Multi-pupose Carrier
20190323797 · 2019-10-24 ·

A multi-purpose carrier constructed from a single continuous sheet of material that is folded along a central vertical axis to create opposing top open ends and opposing bottom open ends wherein the left and right sides are further folded towards the central vertical axis to create opposing side walls with a channel at the outer edge of each of the side walls. A torsion spring is funneled through the channels to compress the opposing sides of the device together to create a positive compression grip on the contents carried in the carrier.

HANDGUN HOLSTER

Disclosed is a holster configured to receive a handgun. The holster includes a plurality of ribs on at least one lateral side that are configured to disrupt the outline of the holster when worn under clothing. The ribs are spaced apart such that a channel is formed between adjacent pairs of ribs. These channels provide for improved airflow between the holster and wearer, thereby reducing the buildup of moisture. An example holster includes a holster body that defines a cavity for a handgun. The holster body has an exterior side that includes a plurality of ribs configured to disrupt the outline of the holster when worn under clothing. The ribs are spaced apart such that a channel is formed between adjacent pairs of ribs. Each rib is a curved structure extending between a forward edge and a rearward edge of the exterior side.

Ambidextrous holster convertible between an IWB use configuration and an OWB use configuration

A holster comprising a body portion, the body portion comprising a port shell and a starboard shell that cooperate to define a cavity for receiving and holding the handgun. The holster comprising a pair of flat ears, the ears including a forward ear extending forward of the cavity and a rearward ear extending rearward of the cavity. The forward ear defining a forward slot and the rearward ear defining a rearward slot, each slot having a forward edge and a rearward edge. Each slot being configured and dimensioned to receive one of a belt and a clip. Each ear having changes in thickness adjacent the forward and rearward edges of each slot. The changes in thickness defining multiple discrete positions for receiving a holster body attachment portion of the clip.

A firearm holster and a method of making the firearm holster is disclosed. The firearm is wholly or partially molded of ballistic material in such a way that a bullet that is discharged into the holster is retained within the holster or deflected so that it doesn't cause damage to the user of the firearm or other persons or property.

HOLSTER

A holster for a weapon includes a semi-rigid holster body with two sidewalls defining a cavity for receiving a handgun. The holster body has an attachment area for a holster clip to the holster body to secure the holster body to an article worn or carried by a user. The holster body is constructed of a thermoplastic and is constructed to friction-grip the weapon within the cavity. Each of the sidewalls having repeating structure for structural strengthening. When the weapon is absent from the cavity and a compressing force is applied against one or both of the closed sides of the holster body, the holster body is constructed to compress from side-to-side by at least 30% without fracturing, the open top being constructed to automatically return to an original uncompressed shape when the compressing force is removed such that the weapon can be received into the cavity for re-holstering.
