FIREARM HOLSTER AND METHOD OF USE
A holster for selectively locking a firearm. The holster includes a housing for carrying the firearm, a unit affixed to the holster and a pivotable catch positioned within the housing and the unit for locking and unlocking the firearm. The catch includes two arms extending from a central portion, both pivotable within the housing. The catch further includes a circular section extending from the central portion and selectively engageable with a rod. The rod is translatable within the unit for selective engagement with the catch by application of a magnetic force to the unit. The rod locks the catch into position for locking the firearm and is translatable away from the catch for unlocking the firearm and allowing the firearm to be removed from the holster.
Holster tensioner device
A holster for a handgun includes a holster body having a chamber for receiving the handgun. An adjustable and resilient tensioner is mounted on the holster body in a position to be engaged by a handgun in the chamber, the tensioner being operable to apply a resilient biasing force to the handgun in the chamber.
Holster body and retention system
A holster body for a gun which may be configurable for left or right dominant hand use and a retention system which may be used with the holster body to form a plurality of retention holster configurations including, without limitation, a Level I retention holster configuration and a Level II retention holster configuration.
ADJUSTABLE HOLSTER FOR A FIREARM
Disclosed are assemblies and components of an adjustable holster. The holster includes a holster body that defines a cavity to receive a firearm. One or more clips can be hingedly attached to the holster body. In some embodiments, each clip can be removably attached to a hinge pin on the holster body. Based on the configuration and location of the clip(s), the disclosed assemblies can be configured as either a right-hand or left-hand holster assembly, as an inside-the-waist-band holster or an outside-the-waist-band holster, and/or as a holster with a canted or non-canted orientation. The holster can be reconfigured without tools in some embodiments.
Holster for a handgun having a trigger guard and a barrel
The holster (10) for a handgun (20) having a trigger guard and a barrel (205) comprising: a housing (105) for the handgun comprising a top opening (110) for the passage of at least part of the handgun, a wedge (115) for holding the handgun in the housing, a first push-button (120) for positioning the wedge: in a position referred to as the retention position, in which the wedge is positioned in the trigger guard so as to prevent the handgun from being extracted from the housing when the first button is released or in a position referred to as the released position in which the wedge is positioned out of the trigger guard when the first button is engaged;
comprises: a flap (125), mounted to rotate about a hinge (130) positioned along a long side of a transverse opening (135) of the housing, said transverse opening (135) being positioned facing the barrel and forming: in what is referred to as a closed position, a face that covers the transverse opening (135) and in what is referred to as an open position, a guide for the sliding of the handgun toward the transverse opening and a second push-button (120) for opening the flap that opens the flap when the second button is engaged.
Secure Personal Item Carrier Weapon Concealment Compartment System
A system and method for a secure weapon concealment compartment situated in a personal carrying item such as a purse, handbag, briefcase, backpack or luggage that allows a person to safely and efficiently carry, store and make available for use a weapon. The concealment compartment includes weapon securing having tapered holders or orifices formed to receive a weapon and provide safety against unintentional discharge of the weapon and resistive forces applied to a protective carrier of the weapon once stored to enable quick and effective withdrawal of the weapon from the concealment compartment.
Holstering a gun
An apparatus and associated methodology for holstering a gun. A holster has a longitudinally-extending sidewall terminating at a gun entry edge. The sidewall has an inner surface defining a cavity that is sized for slidingly inserting the gun to a mating engagement of the gun in the holster at a holstered position of the gun. The sidewall supports a holster trigger guard terminating adjacent the gun entry edge. The holster trigger guard extends from the sidewall and adjacent the cavity so that a holster trigger guard surface operably impacts against the user's finger at an acute angle, so that a force from the impact has a proximal force directed away from the tip of the user's finger. A concealment block is removably attachable to the sidewall at a selected one of a plurality of different attachable positions to be operably interposed between a user's body and the holster to urge a selected portion of the holster away from the user's body.
Holster having a removable lockout element
A holster for a handgun, having at least some of an at least partial cavity; a lever having a thumb button portion and an engagement portion, wherein the lever includes a locking projection extending from at least a portion of the engagement portion, wherein the lever is pivotally attached or coupled to at least a portion of the holster, approximately between the thumb button portion and the engagement portion; and a lockout element, wherein at least a portion of the lockout element is positionable to block movement of the lever to keep the lever from being pivoted to a disengaged position.
