Active Carry Holster Assembly
20210025672 · 2021-01-28 · ·

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a belt for an implement holster comprising multiple stacked layers, including reinforcement layers enclosed within outer layers of the belt. The construction of the belt allows the belt to be worn with garments that do not necessarily include belt loops, such as active wear and women's formal wear. An implement holster may be coupled to the belt, using one or more clip loops, to form an active carry holster assembly.

Holster with rotatable locking element

A locking holster having a side wall portion for receiving at least a portion of a handgun; a locking element with a locking projection extending from a helical ramp surface of the locking element, a central aperture is formed through the locking element with one or more flute guide projections extending into the central aperture; and a release bar having a flute portion with one or more spiral or helical grooves formed therein to interact with at least a portion of the flute guide projections, such that slidable movement of the release bar relative to the locking element produces rotational movement of the locking element, and wherein at least a portion of the locking projection retains the handgun in the holster in an engaged position, via interaction between at least a portion of the locking projection and an interior surface of a trigger guard of the handgun.

Overmolded / Through-Molded Pouch

An overmolded/through-molded pouch, having one or more wall portions defining a pouch body, wherein the pouch body extends from a substantially open top portion to a bottom portion, and wherein the one or more wall portions define an at least partial pouch cavity of the pouch body; at least one overmold aperture formed through a portion of one or more of the one or more wall portions; and an overmolding material extending atop at least a portion of an exterior surface of the pouch body, wherein at least a portion of the overmolding material extends through the at least one overmold aperture, such that at least a portion of the overmolding material extends through at least a portion of the at least one overmold aperture and into at least a portion of the at least partial pouch cavity.

EDDS CHELATED NANOCERIA WITH CATALASE-LIKE ACTIVITY
20200345650 · 2020-11-05 · ·

A process for making nanoparticles of biocompatible materials, wherein an aqueous reaction mixture comprising cerous ion, ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid, an oxidant, water, and optionally citric acid, is provided along with temperature conditions to directly form within the reaction mixture, a stable dispersion of cerium oxide nanoparticles. Also, biocompatibe nanoparticles comprised of cerium oxide, ethyenediaminedisuccinic acid, and optionally citric acid. An increase in catalase-like enzyme activity is demonstrated by cerium oxide nanoparticles prepared with citric acid and ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid.

WEAPON AND ACCESSORY LINK

Attachment systems configured to fixedly hold a rail are described, including a first connector integrated with a tactical accessory mount, a base element, including a first engagement portion configured to at least partially wrap around a first edge of the rail, and a movable element configured to move relative to the base and including a second engagement portion configured to at least partially wrap around a second edge e of the rail. A locking mechanism is provided to hold the movable element in a closed position with the second engagement portion holding the second edge of the rail and the first engagement portion holding the first edge of the rail. A second connector may be attached to the base element to hold the base element to the tactical accessory mount via the first connector.

Articulated Trigger Guard Blocking Device
20200240744 · 2020-07-30 ·

A holster for a handgun having a trigger guard includes a holster body defining a chamber for receiving a portion of the handgun. The holster body has an entranceway enabling insertion of the gun into the holster and removal of the handgun from the holster chamber. The holster includes a blocking device separate from the holster body that helps to block movement of the handgun trigger guard relative to the holster body when the handgun is in the chamber. The blocking device is supported on the holster body for movement relative to the holster body between an open position and a blocking position. The blocking device has a tail portion that projects from the bottom wall in a direction away from the top wall when the blocking member is in the open position. The blocking device moves from the open position to the blocking position in response to insertion of a handgun through the entranceway into the chamber. The blocking device tail portion moves in a direction toward the holster top wall during movement of the blocking device from the open position to the blocking position.

HOLSTER

A holster system that comprises a holster and an accessory configured to be fixed to a mounting rail of a handgun. The holster has a holster body with a pair of opposing wall portions defining a cavity. A retention mechanism of the system has a blocking portion movable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position. The blocking member at least inhibits removal of the handgun and accessory if the handgun and accessory are urged rearwardly before a thumb receiving portion is depressed. The blocking portion is on a spring member that is deflected by an elongate exteriorly extending sliding member that has a cam surface that selectively deflects the spring member from the blocking position.

A holster includes a hip plate and a shroud mounted to the hip plate. The shroud includes a channel adapted to receive a slide of a firearm, a slide block extending into an open portion of the channel and configured to abut a muzzle end of the slide received in the channel to prevent forward movement of the slide, and a locking lug extending into the open portion of the channel and configured to engage a chamber of the slide to prevent movement of the slide.

BARREL HELD FIREARM CARRIER
20200096289 · 2020-03-26 ·

A firearm carrier that is design and configured to hold a firearm. In one embodiment, the firearm is a pump-action (or slide-action) firearm, such as a scattergun. The firearm can have a rear portion with a pistol grip, and a forward portion with a barrel and a pump-action (or slide-action) receiver. The firearm carrier can be secured to a user's waist and leg, and then the firearm can be removably secured to the firearm carrier. Advantageously, the firearm carrier is configured to receive a portion of the barrel of the firearm and can thus be secured to the firearm carrier. The firearm can also be rapidly removed from the firearm carrier should the user desire to remove the firearm from the firearm carrier.
