HOLSTER

A holster system that comprises a holster and an accessory configured to be fixed to a mounting rail of a handgun. The holster has a holster body with a pair of opposing wall portions defining a cavity. A retention mechanism of the system has a blocking portion movable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position. The blocking member at least inhibits removal of the handgun and accessory if the handgun and accessory are urged rearwardly before a thumb receiving portion is depressed. The blocking portion is on a spring member that is deflected by an elongate exteriorly extending sliding member that has a cam surface that selectively deflects the spring member from the blocking position.

Direct magnetic firearm holster

A firearm holster system and methods of use are described herein for safely securing a firearm while providing visibility and quick access. A shroud is provided in the rough shape of the firearm. One or more magnets attached to the shroud create a retaining force between the firearm and the shroud. The magnets in combination with the back and side walls of the shroud, provide protection and security to the firearm. The user simply accesses the firearm in a grip section of the shroud to remove it from the holster assembly.

Molded holster components

Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a molded backer and/or a molded cover for a holster. The backer may be combined with one or more shell components (i.e., covers) to form a case for a weapon, tool, or other implement. The backer and/or the cover may be formed to include one or more features on a surface of the backer and/or cover, for tuning a relative friction of the surface of the backer and/or cover.

A trigger shroud assembly (14) for a small arms weapon (12) is disclosed. The trigger shroud assembly (14) may include a rail mount (22), an accessory body (28) slidably connected to the rail mount, a spring guide (24) disposed between the rail mount and the accessory body, a resilient member (26) arranged about the spring guide, and a starboard side trigger shroud (32) and a port side trigger shroud (34) connected to the accessory body. A belt clip (36) may be disposed on one of the starboard side trigger shroud or the port side trigger shroud. The trigger shroud assembly (14) may include a closed configuration (17) and an open configuration (27). The trigger shroud assembly (14) may include a tactical accessory (47) such as a flashlight. The trigger shroud assembly (14) may be secured to a handgun for inside the waistband carry and to deter inadvertent handgun discharge.

EDDS CHELATED NANOCERIA WITH CATALASE-LIKE ACTIVITY

A process for making nanoparticles of biocompatible materials is described, wherein an aqueous reaction mixture comprising cerous ion, ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid, an oxidant, water, and optionally citric acid, is provided along with temperature conditions to directly form within the reaction mixture, a stable dispersion of cerium oxide nanoparticles. Biocompatible, nanoparticles comprised of cerium oxide, ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid, and optionally citric acid, are described. An increase in catalase-like enzyme activity is demonstrated by cerium oxide nanoparticles prepared with citric acid and ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid.

Condition-sensing handgun holster
10119782 · 2018-11-06 · ·

A condition-sensing handgun holster has been developed that both allows one-handed loading or unloading of a semi-automatic pistol using a slide mechanism, and that may sense the presence of a firearm in the holster as well as its load state, is described. The holster facilitates firearm loading and unloading through use of a gun slide-arresting mechanism that allows the gun carriage to move relative to the slide, introducing or ejecting a round into or from the chamber. Gun presence in the holster and load state are determined using in-holster sensors. The data may be transmitted to remote monitors.

Customizable locking and quick release mechanism and kit for handgun holsters

A customizable holster locking and quick release mechanism includes a holster body with interchangeable insert assemblies, interchangeable and optional spacers and shims, and adjustable and repositionable locking teeth for holding the trigger guard of multiple handgun models. The insert assembly attaches to the holster body and has an insert body with integral upper and lower body sections that support a slide lock rail having upper and lower rail sections. When assembled, the insert body and a side spacer create a receiving slot for a handgun trigger guard. The rail, guided by an angled track in the insert body, moves the locking teeth horizontally into and through the receiving slot as it displaces vertically in response to receiving a trigger guard. Magnets bias the rail depending on the presence of a handgun, encouraging the rail to lock the handgun in a lower position or release the handgun in an upper position.

Holster with protection mechanism facilitating holstering and unholstering and protecting against theft and robbery

The present invention discloses a holster with a protection mechanism that facilitates holstering and unholstering and protects against theft and robbery, comprising: a waist protection plate, a holster body, a positioning supporting plate, an L-shaped connecting piece, and a positioning supporting clamp. A pressing member is disposed at a side close to the waist protection plate. A positioning column fixes and tightly locks the L-shaped connecting piece with the holster body by inserting gaskets and an E-shaped washer into a clamping slot. The L-shaped connecting piece and the positioning supporting clamp cooperate with each other in space according to a lever principle, and an overall trigger mechanical structure is simple, low in failure rate and relatively reliable in actual applications.
