10473427 · 2019-11-12 ·

A holster system for receiving and releasably retaining a handgun with or without a reflex sight mounted thereon. The holster body comprises a pair of opposing side wall portions and an upper wall portion. The holster body may define a rear accessory sight opening for receiving the handgun with the reflex sight attached thereto. The holster system may include a first rear sight cover selectively and robustly coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the rear accessory sight opening when a handgun with conventional sights extending upwardly about of an inch or less mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system. The holster system may also include a second rear sight cover selectively coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the sight opening when a handgun with a reflex sight mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system.

Method for manufacturing a standardized outer holster system with firearm specific inner holster inserts

Provided in this disclosure is a method for manufacturing a customizable holster. Steps are provided of molding inner holster components, including molding internal surfaces that conform to shapes of respective portions of a desired firearm design. Other substeps include molding external surfaces that conform to the shape of portions of an external mating surface of an inner holster. The inner holster components are mated to form an inner holster having an internal contact surface that conforms to the firearm design, to securely receive and retain a respective firearm within the inner holster. An outer holster is molded having an interior defined by an internal mating surface that conforms with the external mating surface of the inner holster. The inner holster is then mated to the outer holster such that the external mating surface of the inner holster is received within the internal mating surface of the outer holster.

Holster

A holster system that comprises a holster and an accessory configured to be fixed to a mounting rail of a handgun. The holster has a holster body with a pair of opposing wall portions defining a cavity. A retention mechanism of the system has a blocking portion movable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position. The blocking member at least inhibits removal of the handgun and accessory if the handgun and accessory are urged rearwardly before a thumb receiving portion is depressed. The blocking portion is on a spring member that is deflected by an elongate exteriorly extending sliding member that has a cam surface that selectively deflects the spring member from the blocking position.

Retention holster for a firearm having an offset mounted accessory

A holster for accommodating a handgun having an attached, offset accessory, including walls defining a cavity for receiving the handgun and the attached accessory, a retention means that is capable of retaining a handgun and accessory in the holster, wherein the retention means includes a lever that is pivotally connected, via a pivot pin, to the first side wall approximately between a finger button end and an engagement end, wherein the engagement end includes a locking portion, formed on a second side of the engagement end, wherein the lever is pivotable between an engaged position and a disengaged position and wherein the lever is biased, via a spring means, to the engaged position, such that when the lever is in the engaged position, the locking portion may extend inside the cavity and inside the inner surface of the trigger guard of a handgun that is secured into the holster.

Locking holster system

A holster for receiving and withdrawing a handgun having two active restraints and a dust cover. The holster further has a lockout button assembly comprising an elongated member having a lockout button portion on a proximal end and a blocking portion on a distal end, wherein the lockout button assembly is configured to be slidingly mounted to a housing for manual movement of the lockout button assembly between a protrusion portion blocking position and a protrusion portion non-blocking position, wherein the blocking portion is configured to block rotation of the protrusion portion and the thumb button when in the blocking position, and wherein the blocking portion is configured to allow rotation of the protrusion portion and the thumb button when in the non-blocking position.

A firearm holster has an outer wall, extending between a muzzle end and a breech end, defining a cavity configured to receive a firearm. A magnet and/or magnet assembly may be included, wherein the magnet is at least partly in the cavity at the muzzle end. The magnet assembly is coupled to the muzzle end and includes a magnet housing coupled to the outer wall and connected to the magnet. The holster may include a protruding wedge on a side panel of the outer wall, wherein the protruding wedge comprises a surface formed at an angle from the longitudinal holster axis. The wedge presses against a user's body to help alleviate the holster sagging. The holster may also have a spacer assembly, a portion of which can be configured to press against a user's body to achieve a desired resting angle of the holster.

Auto on gun accessory

An electronic accessory for a firearm includes a housing including a right side, a left side, and an attachment mechanism for securing the electronic accessory to the firearm. The housing contains components of the electronic accessory. The components of the electronic accessory include an electronic component, a sensor sensing a magnetic field, and a circuit board coupled to the electronic component and the sensor. The circuit board controls the electronic component and suspends power to the electronic component when the sensor senses a magnetic field above a threshold strength. A first switch is disposed on the right side of the housing and a second switch is disposed on the left side of the housing. The switches are operable to control the electronic component via the circuit board. A power source provides power to at least one of the electronic component, the sensor, and the circuit board.
