Quick release holster
A holster assembly includes a holster having an interior shaped to receive a handgun, and an entrance. An ejection port restraint pivotally connected to the holster includes a latch and is biased toward an obstruction position for engaging the latch with the ejection port of the handgun. A hood restraint pivotally connected to the holster body adjacent the entrance is configured to pivot between a non-obstruction position to permit the handgun to enter and to be drawn, and an obstruction position at which the hood restraint at least partially blocks the entrance. The hood restraint is biased toward the non-obstruction position. A release device mounted on the holster body is configured to actuate both the ejection port restraint and the hood restraint, each toward the respective non-obstruction position thereof, in response to a single movement by a user to allow the handgun to be withdrawn from the holster.
Firearm retainer for holsters
A firearm retention mechanism is provided for a holster. The device comprises first and second arms that each have a first end and a second end, outwardly extending retention elements and trigger guard stops, and a fastener which connects the first and second arms so that they define an open top, with the retention elements and trigger guard stops facing one another, the trigger guard stops located below the retention elements. The arms are connected to sides of the holster with the open top facing upwardly to receive a trigger guard of the firearm, which is then pressed between the retention elements.
VEHICLE MOUNTED FIREARM RETENTION DEVICE
Provided herein is a firearm retention device. The firearm retention device includes a base; an arm coupled to the base and pivotable about an axis of rotation; a cradle coupled to an end of the arm opposite the base and having an inner cavity shaped to receive a firearm therein; and a locking mechanism having a locking member, wherein the locking mechanism is positioned so that the locking member extends into a space formed by a trigger guard of the firearm when the firearm is received in the cradle and the locking member is moved to a locking position.
Wrist band device for releasing holster lock
A wrist device for unlocking a safety holster for use with a weapon, the holster includes an electronically actuated locking mechanism configured to admit the weapon into the safety holster, and to lock the holster, thereby preventing the withdrawal of the weapon prior to release of the electronically actuated locking mechanism upon receipt of an unlock signal, the wrist device including: a wearable band, adapted to be worn on a forearm; a sensing mechanism operationally coupled to the wearable band and adapted to be actuated as a result of a predefined actuation movement of a hand or forearm wearing the wrist device; a wireless communications component configured to send the unlock signal when the sensing mechanism is actuated; and a processing unit in electrical communication with the sensing mechanism and the wireless communications component.
Rotatable holster
A mounting assembly for securing a holster to a user that permits a holstered weapon to be rotated from a normal, dominant-hand accessible position to a reversed position more easily accessible to a non-dominant hand. The assembly includes a first portion that is securable to a user and a second portion hingedly connected to the first portion in a manner allowing rotation about a generally upstanding axis. The second portion is rotatable between a normal position which enables the user to draw the weapon using a dominant hand and a reversed position in which the holster is rotated to enable the user to conveniently draw the weapon using an off-hand. The assembly includes provisions to restrain the second portion in one or more predetermined orientations, biasing mechanisms to rotate the second portion when released, and latching mechanism to prevent inadvertent or unintended rotation of a holstered weapon.
FIREARM HOLSTER
A firearm holster for securely enclosing a firearm is provided. A spring biased triggering lever is pivotally secured to the holster. A slider attached to the firearm holster slides on the slider base from a locked position to an unlocked position upon pressing the triggering lever. A spring-biased resettable drop lock is pivotally connected to a resettable drop lock mount attached to the holster and extends into an ejection port of a firearm secured in the firearm holster. The resettable drop lock pivots out of the ejection port of the firearm in the firearm holster by contact with the slider as the slider moves from a locked position into an unlocked position. A secondary lock includes a helical lock shaft disposed within a secondary lock body and extends from the lock body to rotate a secondary lock from a locked position to an unlocked position.
TRIGGER SHROUD ASSEMBLY, SMALL ARMS APPARATUS, AND METHOD
A trigger shroud assembly (14) for a small arms weapon (12) is disclosed. The trigger shroud assembly (14) may include a rail mount (22), an accessory body (28) slidably connected to the rail mount, a spring guide (24) disposed between the rail mount and the accessory body, a resilient member (26) arranged about the spring guide, and a starboard side trigger shroud (32) and a port side trigger shroud (34) connected to the accessory body. A belt clip (36) may be disposed on one of the starboard side trigger shroud or the port side trigger shroud. The trigger shroud assembly (14) may include a closed configuration (17) and an open configuration (27). The trigger shroud assembly (14) may include a tactical accessory (47) such as a flashlight. The trigger shroud assembly (14) may be secured to a handgun for inside the waistband carry and to deter inadvertent handgun discharge.
WATERPROOF HOLSTER
A waterproof holster includes articulating main body and cover that come together to form a cavity that is sealed off from the external environment. A sealing component improves the sealing of the main body and cover. The holster includes a latch for opening and closing the main body and cover. The holster also includes within the interior cavity a dock for securing a firearm or other piece of equipment to be stored within the holster. The holster is part of a system including user-wearable accessories such as a belt and leg straps.
System for actuating gun and utility locks with an external mobile device
A safety holster, trigger lock and utility lock including an electronically actuated locking mechanism configured to admit the weapon or object into the device, and to engage a feature of the weapon, thereby preventing the withdrawal of the weapon prior to release of the electronically actuated locking mechanism; a control system including a microcontroller unit adapted to actuate the electronically actuated locking mechanism upon receipt of a control signal where the device provides for insertion of the weapon into the holster body/trigger guard, with the locking mechanism which admits the weapon during insertion, and which engages the weapon feature for retention of the weapon in a locked state upon receiving a locking control signal from an external device until the locking mechanism is disengaged by receiving an unlocking control signal from the external device.
FIREARM SAFETY LOCK
A firearm safety lock that includes a rotatable locking member for being moved into a lock position against a trigger guard of the firearm responsive to movement of the firearm into a holster to prevent removal of the firearm from the holster when in the lock position. An electronic circuit is mounted on the holster and operable to cause the locking rotor to move from the lock position into an unlock position responsive to movement of a coded key paired with a code programmed in the electronic circuit into a predetermined proximity to the electronic circuit.
