Adjustable apparatus holder

Embodiments described herein relate to apparatuses, systems and methods for adjustably holding a device. For example, in one embodiment, an apparatus is provided that includes a male interlocking ring. The male interlocking ring includes a plurality of male interlocking members. The apparatus also includes a unitarily formed female interlocking plate. The unitarily formed female interlocking plate includes portions adapted to receive each of the plurality of male interlocking members. The unitarily formed female interlocking plate also includes a flexible release lever. The flexible release lever partially extends laterally in one of the portions that are adapted to receive each of the plurality of male interlocking members. Other embodiments relate to an ambidextrous holster sleeve, a holster and holster sleeve.

QUICK RELEASE HOLSTER

A holster assembly includes a holster having an interior shaped to receive a handgun, and an entrance. An ejection port restraint pivotally connected to the holster includes a latch and is biased toward an obstruction position for engaging the latch with the ejection port of the handgun. A hood restraint pivotally connected to the holster body adjacent the entrance is configured to pivot between a non-obstruction position to permit the handgun to enter and to be drawn, and an obstruction position at which the hood restraint at least partially blocks the entrance. The hood restraint is biased toward the non-obstruction position. A release device mounted on the holster body is configured to actuate both the ejection port restraint and the hood restraint, each toward the respective non-obstruction position thereof, in response to a single movement by a user to allow the handgun to be withdrawn from the holster.

A tensioner is mounted on the holster body in a position to be engaged by the handgun assembly in the chamber, and is operable to apply a resilient biasing force to the handgun assembly in the chamber. The tensioner includes tensioner body that is engaged and deformed by the handgun assembly, and a spring for resisting and controlling deformation of the tensioner body. The tensioner has a first end portion mounted on the holster body for only rotational movement on the holster body, and a second end portion mounted on the holster body for both sliding and rotational movement on the holster body. A tension spring maintains tension on the tensioner body.

The device comprises first and second arms that each have a first end and a second end, outwardly extending retention elements and trigger guard stops, and a fastener which connects the first and second arms so that they define an open top, with the retention elements and trigger guard stops facing one another, the trigger guard stops located below the retention elements. The arms are connected to sides of the holster with the open top facing upwardly to receive a trigger guard of the firearm, which is then pressed between the retention elements.

A biometric safety holster apparatus for preventing a firearm from being drawn by unwanted persons includes a holster body to receive a firearm while exposing a handle of the firearm above a body top side. A clip is coupled to the holster body to selectively engage a belt or a waistband. An actuator rod is coupled within a body inside to extend through a trigger guard of the firearm when a retractable portion is extended to prevent the firearm from being drawn from the holster body. A battery is coupled to the holster body and is in operational communication with the actuator rod. A biometric fingerprint reader is coupled to the holster body and is in operational communication with the actuator rod to retract the retractable portion and free the firearm.

THUMB-ACTUATED LOCKING HOLSTER

A holster for receiving and withdrawing a handgun has a proximal wall portion with a handgun retention mechanism thereon. The mechanism having a first lever with a tab portion for actuation and release of a trigger guard, the lever having a snap fit into a lever region without a separate pin. A belt engaging member covers the lever region capturing the first lever therein. If a second retention mechanism is used, another lever with a tab portion is positioned so the tabs are stacked, depressing one also depresses the tab behind it, such that both mechanisms are released. Overmolded polymer layers in the holster body provides a softer interior handgun engagement surfaces. The holster body is split forwardly with a threaded fastener for clamping onto the handgun. No holster body is beneath or rearward of the tab portion, configured as a thumb button, allowing smooth transition to gripping the handgun.
