VIDEO CAMERA ASSEMBLY FOR A FIREARM
A video camera assembly for a firearm is disclosed. The video camera assembly is attached to the firearm, and has a frame and a controller located on a circuit board inside of the frame. In operative connection with the circuit board is a memory, a video camera, integrated with a lens, that generates video data to be stored on the memory, a microphone that generates audio data to be stored on the memory, and a power supply. A power switch connects power to the controller from the power supply in an on position and disconnects power to the controller in an off position. The video camera generates video data and the microphone generates audio data when the power switch is in the on position.
Systems and methods for coupling a weapon detector to a holster
A detector for detecting the removal and/or insertion of a firearm out of and/or into a holster. The detector may transmit a message each time the firearm is removed from the holster. A recording system may receive the message and determine whether or not it will begin recording the data it captures. A detector may detect the change in a magnitude of an inductance and/or an impedance of a circuit to detect insertion and removal of the firearm into and out of the holster. The holster is configured to couple to the detector to position the detector to detect insertion and removal of the firearm. An adhesive tape may couple a detector to a holster.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FILTERING MESSAGES
A recording system may use the information stored in a list to determine whether to receive and/or respond to messages transmitted by notice systems. The source of the information for the list includes a server and/or the recording system itself. A server that provides the list may use data provided by an agency to determine a relationship between a people, recording devices and notice systems. The associations between people, recording devices and notice devices may be used to determine what information is in the list. A recording device that forms the list may receive messages from any notice system, detect the session identifier, store the session identifiers from received messages, and receive and/or respond to messages in accordance with the list formed by the recording system.
FIREARM TELEMATICS DEVICES FOR MONITORING STATUS AND LOCATION
A portable camera may be activated in response to the activity of a firearm. Furthermore, an individual who discharged a firearm may be identified. Furthermore, information related to the firing of a firearm may be recorded, assessed, identified and transmitted. Furthermore, the status of an implement at a mount may be monitored. Furthermore, a charging device for delivering electrical power to components of a firearm may be used. A communications channel may be established between a firearm telematics sensor and a video camera, optionally by means of intermediary devices. A communications channel may be established between a mount (e.g., holster) telematics device and local and/or remote monitoring service components, optionally by means of intermediary devices. When the telematics sensor detects that its associated firearm has been removed from a holster, is in motion, or is being discharged, the telematics sensor may signal the video camera to initiate recording.
Biometric safety holster apparatus
A biometric safety holster apparatus for preventing a firearm from being drawn by unwanted persons includes a holster body to receive a firearm while exposing a handle of the firearm above a body top side. A clip is coupled to the holster body to selectively engage a belt or a waistband. An actuator rod is coupled within a body inside to extend through a trigger guard of the firearm when a retractable portion is extended to prevent the firearm from being drawn from the holster body. A battery is coupled to the holster body and is in operational communication with the actuator rod. A biometric fingerprint reader is coupled to the holster body and is in operational communication with the actuator rod to retract the retractable portion and free the firearm.
Draw alerting weapon holstering device
A draw alerting weapon holstering device for reducing weapon confusion includes a holster into which a weapon is insertable. The holster can be engaged either to a user or to an article that is engaged to the user. A housing is selectively engageable to or is integral to the holster. A detector, a speaker, a vibrator, and a microprocessor are engaged to the housing, with the latter two being positioned in the housing. A battery is selectively engageable to the housing. The detector can detect a weapon that is positioned in the holster. The microprocessor is operationally engaged to the battery and is communicatively engaged to the vibrator, the speaker, and the detector. The detector signals the microprocessor upon drawing of the weapon from the holster, whereupon the microprocessor selectively signals the speaker and the vibrator to broadcast an audible alert and to initiate a vibratory alert, respectively.

The source of the information for the list includes a server and/or the recording system itself. A server that provides the list may use data provided by an agency to determine a relationship between a people, recording devices and notice systems. A recording device that forms the list may receive messages from any notice system, detect the session identifier, store the session identifiers from received messages, and receive and/or respond to messages in accordance with the list formed by the recording system.
Mounting systems and methods for positioning a detector on a weapon holster
A detector for detecting the removal and/or insertion of a firearm out of and/or into a holster. The detector may transmit a message each time the firearm is removed from the holster. A recording system may receive the message and determine whether or not it will begin recording the data it captures. A detector may detect the change in a magnitude of an inductance and/or an impedance of a circuit to detect insertion and removal of the firearm into and out of the holster. A placement mode may be invoked to determine an optimal mounting location of the detector relative to the holster. The optimal mounting location may be a location of maximum sensitivity of the detector with respect to the weapon and/or a location wherein the measurements obtained via the detector exceed a threshold. The detector may provide indicia corresponding with the optimal mounting location.
Detection of device dislocation using power and non-powered dislocation sensors
An indication from a body-worn device may be received at a user device, in which the indication notifies the user device that the body-worn device has detached from a mounting position. The user device may be a body-worn hub or another body-worn device. A command is then generated at the user device to trigger the body-worn device or another body-worn device to perform an action based at least on the indication. In some instances, the user device may send an event notification for the indication to an event handler on a hub or a server for the event handler to determine whether to perform an action based at least on the event notification.
WEAPON DETECTOR WITH USER INTERFACE
A detector for detecting the removal and/or insertion of a weapon out of and/or into a holster. The detector may transmit a message each time the weapon is removed from the holster. A recording system may receive the message and determine whether or not it will begin recording the data it captures. A detector may detect the change in a magnitude of an inductance and/or an impedance of a circuit to detect insertion and removal of the weapon into and out of the holster. The holster is configured to couple to the detector to position the detector to detect insertion and removal of the weapon. An adhesive tape may couple a detector to a holster.
