Flip sight systems having multiple configurations for use with firearms in accordance with various embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a flip sight system is provided, comprising: a front sight assembly comprising: a front base, a front pivot joint; and a front sight; a rear sight assembly comprising: a rear base, a rear pivot joint, and a rear sight; wherein the flip sight system includes a first deployed configuration where the front sight and the rear sight are offset to the attached optics such that the flip sight system operates as primary sights for close range targets, a second deployed configuration where the front sight and the rear sight are in-line with the attached optics such that the flip sight system operates as co-witness or backup sights to the attached optics, a first collapsed configuration for storage, and a second collapsed configuration for storage.

Disclosed is a shroud configured to convert an open emitter reflex sight into an enclosed emitter reflex sight. More specifically, the shroud includes a transparent window and is configured to be attached to the main body of the housing and thereby form an enclosure for the emitter of the reflex sight. In some implementations, the shroud is used in conjunction with a drainage plug assembly configured to seal drain openings in the main body of the open emitter reflex sight.

An accessory for a firearm includes a deflector integrated into the accessory and structured to alter a path of discharge gasses and/or debris after such gasses and debris are emitted from the firearm when the firearm is discharged. The deflector may be sized and shaped to alter a path of discharge gasses and/or debris after such gasses and debris pass a Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI) of the firearm. The LCI indicates a presence of a cartridge within a firing chamber of the firearm, but openings within and around the LCI also provide a path for hot gasses and debris to strike accessories, which causes fouling and other deterioration.

A combined sight and optic sight mount securable to an upper surface of a firearm comprising: an aperture frame including: a stationary aft aperture frame; and a movable aft aperture sub-frame situated within the stationary aft aperture frame and comprising: opposed vertical sidewalls, a top wall connecting the opposed vertical sidewalls, and a pair of substantially horizontal planar aiming reference members extending inwardly from the vertical sidewalls and defining a gap therebetween.

A protector assembly for mounting a firearm accessory on a firearm includes a base having a rail opening for receiving an elongated rail on the firearm extending parallel to the barrel. The base of the protector assembly includes an accessory opening sized and shaped for receiving and attaching the firearm accessory, such as a sight, to the base. The protector assembly further comprises a shield attached to the base that is longer than the firearm accessory to at least partially envelope the firearm accessory without contacting the firearm accessory when the firearm accessory is attached to the base to protect the firearm accessory from damage due to contact between the firearm accessory and other objects during use, transport, or storage of the firearm.
