Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described which provide weapon sighted cameras. A camera can be mounted on a weapon and, after a set-up procedure, can acquire a target without using a weapon sight of the weapon.

The present invention provides a body (2) provided at the air vehicle; at least one indicator (3) located on the body (2) and in the pilot's field of vision; at least one guide (4) located on the body (2) between the indicator (3) and the pilot, at a distance from the indicator (3) and the pilot; at least one reference position (5) which enables the pilot to move in the cockpit to the position where the guide (4) and the indicator (3) almost coincide with respect to the pilot's point of vision, thus enabling the pilot to reach a predetermined position.

The general field of the invention is that of avionics systems intended to be used on aircraft in flight above a terrain. The avionics system comprises a display system and a navigation system. The display system comprises a head support equipped with a display device capable of generating images overlaid on said terrain, and a system for detecting posture of said helmet. The display system according to the invention comprises means for displaying a marking symbol in the display device, said symbol determining a given direction. The navigation system comprises geolocation means for said aircraft, a database of cartographic data representative of said terrain and computation means making it possible to determine the location of the area of the terrain arranged at the intersection of said given direction with said terrain, and means for recording and processing said location in the navigation system.

The general field of the invention is that of head viewing systems for aircraft comprising a head support, a viewing device, a detection of posture of said head support, means for detecting the current heading of an aircraft and means for graphically generating said heading. The system according to the invention comprises means of control, display and selection of headings arranged so as: to display in response to a first command, a second so-called setpoint heading and a third heading termed a support heading corresponding to the direction of the head support in a terrestrial reference frame, said direction given by the information arising from the detection of posture of said head support and the means for detecting the current heading; to replace, in response to a second command, said second heading by said third heading, said third heading thus becoming the new heading setpoint.

An alignment system includes a body provided at the air vehicle. An indicator is located on the body and in the pilot's field of vision where at least one guide is located on the body between the indicator and the pilot at a distance from the indicator and the pilot. A reference position enables the pilot to move in the cockpit to the position where the guide and the indicator coincide with respect to the pilot's point of vision enabling the pilot to reach a predetermined position.
