Sniper Dashboard
A sniper dashboard for displaying ballistics data attaches to a rail interface system (RIS) of a rifle or other longarm. The dashboard comprises a support arm, a mounting block that is rotatably attached to the support arm, and a display panel to support a ballistic data card or calculator. The support arm includes a clamping mechanism for removably mounting the support arm to the firearm such that the display panel is positioned within the shooter's field of view while the shooter is taking aim at a target.
Integrated rail and sight system for firearm
A firearm includes an integrated rail and sight system that slidably mounts to the top of the firearm and is also retractable and detachable from the firearm. The rail may slide on and off the top of the firearm and may include integrated front and rear flip down sights. Both sights are pinned to the rail and can fold down to the rail such that they are flush with or seat below the top portion of the rail. This permits accessories to be mounted to the rail without the sights interfering with the mounting of the accessories or without the sights interfering with the operation of the accessories. The firearm further includes an ambidextrous charging handle mounted through the integrated rail and sight system.
Power and Communication Handguard
The devices and methods described below provide for a forearm handguard for a rifle with multiple integrated power and communication channels that are accessible to any accessory through the different rail interface systems of the handguard. Any suitable rail interface systems may be used.
Accessory Mount System
An accessory mount system for connection to a rear sight block (RSB) of a Kalashnikov pattern firearm includes a locking insert that has a projection which extends in a first direction. The projection is adapted to be received within a first recess of the RSB for connection thereto. An adapter body is connected to the locking insert and has a projection that extends in a second direction opposite the first direction. The projection of the adapter body is adapted to be received within a second recess of the RSB for connection thereto. A mount body is connected to the adapter body and has an accessory interface which is adapted to connect to an accessory. An adapter body is secured with a push-pivot pin securely wedging the projection of the adapter against an internal wall of the RSB.
SEALED REFLECTING SIGHT WITH LOW PROFILE CARRIER ASSEMBLY
An optic assembly may include: an environmentally isolated cavity defined by at least a front lens and a housing; a light source located inside the environmentally isolated cavity, the light source to project a reticle on the front lens; and a carrier assembly located inside the environmentally isolated cavity, wherein the light source is mounted on a carrier of the carrier assembly, and the carrier assembly includes: at least one boss fixably located with respect to a bottom interior surface of the environmentally isolated cavity; and a carrier lift slidingly movable along the at least one boss to raise or lower the light source relative to the front lens; wherein the carrier is slidably movable relative to the carrier lift to laterally adjust a position of the light source relative to the front lens. Other embodiments may be disclosed and/or claimed.
MODULAR HANDGUARD
A free float modular handguard is provided. The handguard includes a mounting adapter having an aperture and a barrel nut having an aperture. The barrel nut couples the mounting adapter to an upper receiver of a firearm through the aperture of the mounting adapter. The aperture of the barrel nut receives a barrel therethrough. The handguard also includes a support member having an aperture. The support member is aligned with the aperture of the barrel nut, wherein the aperture of the support member receives the barrel therethrough. The handguard also includes a top member, a bottom member, a first side member, and a second side member, wherein the top member, bottom member, first side member and second side member are each coupled on one end to the mounting adapter coupled on the other end the support member. This creates the free float modular handguard.
ELECTRONIC WEAPON ACCESSORY AND DETACHABLE MOUNT WITH INTEGRATED CONTROL APPARATUS
An electronic weapon accessory system includes an electronic weapon accessory, such as a light, and a detachable mount with integrated controls. The electronic weapon accessory includes an electronic component, such as an LED, and a power source disposed within a housing. The electronic component and the battery are electrically connected with a circuit having electrical contacts exposed on an outer surface of the housing. The mount has a body with a clamp structure, a switch disposed on an outer surface of the mount body and a circuit having electrical contacts exposed on the outer surface of the mount body. Fasteners removably secure the mount body and accessory housing in assembled relation. When the electronic weapon accessory and mount are assembled, the accessory electrical contacts physically and electrically engaging the mount electrical contacts to complete an electronic control circuit and provide integrated control and operation of the electronic accessory.
DETERRENT-DEVICE ACCESSORY ELECTROMAGNETIC-RADIATION-BASED ACTIVATION
A kit includes a deterrent device, a grip activation system, and a housing supporting the grip activation system. The housing positions the grip activation system so that a sensing space of the grip activation system extends at least partly adjacent to a trigger guard of the deterrent device. The grip activation system includes an emitter configured to emit first electromagnetic radiation having a first wavelength; a detector configured to detect second electromagnetic radiation having the first wavelength; and a controller. The controller determines, based at least in part on the second electromagnetic radiation, that an object is present in the sensing space; and provides an activation signal to an activatable system in response to determining that the object is present in the sensing space. The activatable system can include a light source. Some examples include a housing, a grip activation system, and an activatable system.
Mountable light having interchangeable clamping elements
A mountable light includes a light body and a mounting arrangement including first and second clamping members from a set of pairs of clamping members. The light body has first and second opposing receptacles in which the respective clamping members are respectively removably disposed to move toward and away from each other. One clamping member may be fastened in its receptacle so as to be a fixed clamping member while the other clamping member is movable. A clamping mechanism may move the clamping members closer together to engage a mounting rail or away from each other to release the rail. An interchangeable key member may be provided between the clamping members, and may be selected from a set of interchangeable key members.
GRENADE LAUNCHER
A grenade launcher may include at least one barrel for receiving a grenade, a support for releasably mounting the grenade launcher to a carrier, and a receiving slot receiving a removable primer cartridge. The primer cartridge when received in the receiving slot may hold a primer in position for firing the grenade in the barrel.
