SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING THE FRAME LEVELNESS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT

In one aspect, a system for monitoring the frame levelness of an agricultural implement include first and second sensors configured to capture data indicative of a position differential defined between a soil surface and a portion of an a first and second ground engaging tool positioned below the soil surface, respectively. The captured data may be associated at least partially with the receipt of sensor signals reflected off of the portion of the associated ground engaging tool positioned below the soil surface. The system may also include a controller configured to determine penetration depths of the first and second ground engaging tools based on the captured data received from the first and second sensors, respectively. The controller may also be configured to monitor the frame levelness based on a penetration depth differential defined between the first and second penetration depths.

PLOW ASSEMBLY WITH CUTTING EDGE CARTRIDGES
20190276999 · 2019-09-12 ·

A plow assembly for mounting to a vehicle includes a mounting structure, a plow and a plurality of cutting edge cartridges attached to the blade. Each cutting edge cartridge includes a blade, a front plate, and a biasing element. The front plate is fixedly attached to a lower front surface of the plow, with the biasing element and the blade disposed between the plow and the front plate. The biasing element is disposed above an upper part of the blade and the blade is configured to slide in an upward and downward motion relative to the front plate and the plow. In response to a force applied to the blade, the blade slides upward relative to the backing plate and the plow and compresses the biasing element such that when the force is removed, the biasing element decompresses and urges and slides the blade downward.

The present invention relates generally to agricultural tillage equipment and, more specifically, to a vertical tillage sweep providing low surface disturbance. The sweep comprises a wing structure with a downward and generally vertical fin, and having specific wear coating placed on the various wear surfaces.

Seeding opener system
10306823 · 2019-06-04 ·

A seeding opener system which allows seeds or other particulate materials to be spread at an appropriate depth with minimal disruption of the ground surface. The seeding opener system generally includes an implement which is driven by a tractor. A cutter extends from the implement which includes a blade adapted to cut into the ground surface beneath the implement. The cutter is adjustable so as to lower the blade to a desired depth beneath the ground surface, or raise the blade above the ground surface when not in use. The blade includes a configuration which ensures that soil backfills over the blade to minimize disturbance of the ground surface during seeding operations. A deflector on the lower end of the blade ensures that seeds are uniformly distributed beneath the ground surface when in use.

Cutting element

Cutting element made of cemented carbide for an agricultural soil cultivation tool for cutting into the earth, which includes a top side and a bottom side, a front side, a back side opposite of the front side, and at least one lateral surface. The top and bottom sides are connected via the front side, back side, and the at least one lateral surface. The front side includes a cutting region having multiple teeth, and at least one tooth is formed with a first flank and a second flank. To achieve an efficient cutting into the earth with a complete cut through the weeds or herbaceous plants present in the earth, a profile line of the first flank and a profile line of the second flank have different lengths. In this manner, weeds are completely severed and killed, whereby use of sprays for killing weeds is reduced to protect the environment.
