The Ergonomic Access Personal Bullet-Proof Shield Stowage Device comprises a nearly transparent articulable plurality of tension positioned suspended support arms having auto body window sill securing clips, and shield position retention securing clips seated between and connectively attached to an upper and a lower auto window frame for the purpose of enabling the suspension and stowage of a bullet-proof or bullet-resistant shield for immediate/urgent ergonomic access by a passenger when exiting a passenger vehicle. The Ergonomic Access Personal Bullet-Proof Shield Stowage Device may alternatively be used in any window with an upper and lower sill whereupon to position the window sill securing clips.

A shield has a rectangular body, one or more window openings, bullet-resistant glass panes in the windows, handles positioned along edges of the body on the backside, two or more rollerball bearings implemented along the lowermost edge of the body, and two wheels on axles with axes in the direction of the width of the body, the wheels positioned by brackets joined to the backside of the body proximate the lowermost edge. A user, grasping the handles, is enabled to hold the shield vertically oriented supported on the rollerball bearings and to move the shield side-to-side on the rollerball bearings, and wherein the user is further enabled to tilt the shield back toward the user, transferring support to the wheels rather than the rollerball bearings, and is then enabled to move the shield forward and backward on the ground or floor surface on the wheels.

Removable vehicle window security shield assemblies and related methods of use and/or installation. In some embodiments, an insert-shield assembly may comprise an insert-shield with or without a separate inner shield, one or both of which may comprise a ballistic-rated, transparent material. The assembly may be mounted in and/or to one or more existing windows or other openings of a vehicle. In some embodiments, an inner shield of the shield assembly may be removeable from the assembly. In some embodiments, the entire assembly or a portion thereof may be removed to allow an officer or other user to use the removed portion as a portable shield. The removed portion may be returned to the vehicle following use to enhance the protection of the vehicle. In some embodiments, a personal shield may be inserted into and held by a holster that is positioned within the window frame of a vehicle.
