Bullet-proof glass pane with edge reinforcement
The invention relates to a bulletproof glass pane for use in a motor vehicle having a plurality of panes and layers of glass, ceramics or plastics connected two-dimensionally to each other in layers to form a composite, and having an edge reinforcement that extends at the periphery of the bulletproof glass pane, wherein the edge reinforcement comprises at least two or more reinforcing elements that are in loose mutual engagement.
PROTECTIVE SHIELDS
Protective shields configured to prevent projection against projectiles, such as during excavating and/or mining operations, are provided. The protective shields include a base layer comprising one or more transparent polycarbonate layers, a sacrificial polycarbonate layer comprising a transparent polycarbonate, and an air gap positioned directly between at least a portion of the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer. The sacrificial polycarbonate layer is directly or indirectly attached to the base layer in a manner to provide the air gap positioned between the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer.
ARMORED WINDOW DRIVE MECHANISM AND SYSTEM
An armored window drive mechanism includes a window unit containing a bullet resistant glass, composite or polymeric material window positioned within a window frame of a vehicle. A motorized window mechanism is connected to a door structure of the vehicle and acts to raise or lower the window unit. A mechanism connector is adapted to convert an axial rotational force generated by the window mechanism to a lifting and a lowering force acting directly at a lower face of the window frame.
PROTECTIVE WINDSHIELD ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a shock absorbing vehicle window arrangement for a vehicle cab, the window arrangement comprises a transparent polymer windshield, a metal frame having a width extending in the direction parallel to the plane of the transparent polymer windshield and a depth extending in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the transparent polymer windshield, the metal frame comprising: an outer portion, at least partially extending on the outside of the transparent polymer windshield, and an inner portion, at least partially extending on the inside of the transparent polymer windshield. The outer portion overlaps the transparent polymer windshield with at least 0.5% of the length of the windshield, in the direction extending perpendicular from the length axis of the portion of the metal frame that extends on the outside of the transparent polymer windshield, the metal frame comprises a horizontally extending portion comprising a flexible portion.
Patrol Vehicle and Personal Protection System
A patrol vehicle protection system with a quick release bullet resistant transparent panel and door panel covering system that requires no permanent modifications to the patrol vehicle, offers head impact safety protection, and ventilation. The system includes a bullet resistant transparent panel that temporarily attaches to a door window opening mounting mechanism attached to the vehicle door. The mounting mechanism includes z-shaped upper and lower brackets designed to fit into the upper and lower slots formed around the window opening. An adjustment plate or brace holds the brackets in place in the slots. The transparent panel is securely held between the two brackets during normal use but automatically releases outward in a side impact collision. The system also includes a ballistic fabric panel that hangs from the lower bracket over the inside surface of the door panel to protect the driver's legs and lower torso of the driver sitting in the patrol vehicle.
ANTI-BALLISTIC SHELTERS
Embodiments of the present application includes methods and structures for Anti-Ballistic Shelters, including an anti-ballistic shelter having a frame comprising at least one support member, and one or more surfaces comprising a flexible high strength layered anti-ballistic material attached to said frame, wherein said flexible high strength layered anti-ballistic material is layered in at least two directions; and further wherein said layered anti-ballistic material is enveloped around said frame.
Dome coating for countermeasure anti-icing functionality
An infrared countermeasure system comprises a transparent infrared camera dome with an anti-icing surface coating.
BLAST-RESISTANT BULLETPROOF WINDOW AND ASSOCIATED APPARATUS
The present invention refers to a blast-resistant bulletproof window and a corresponding apparatus, in particular for use in a motor vehicle, which comprises a ballistic block having a peripheral edge and a plurality of panes of glass, ceramic or plastic material bonded to each other over their surfaces in a layered composite, and interposed bonding interlayers plastic material or adhesive, wherein at least one edge groove with particularly rectangular cross section is provided on and along at least a part of the peripheral edge, and an edge recess is provided on an inside surface of the ballistic block or window on and along at least a part of the peripheral edge of the window.
Ballistic resistant vehicle window insert
A window insert assembly providing ballistic protection for a window of a vehicle side door. The window insert assembly includes a window insert formed from a ballistic-resistant material and a wedge assembly to wedge the window insert within a window frame of the vehicle door. A method of providing ballistic protection for the window.
