Heating device as well as method for mounting a heating device

A heating device, in particular a gas-heating system, including a housing structure and an external housing, the external housing having at least one sidewall and at least one cover, which are able to be fixed in place on the housing structure. The at least one cover is developed to position the at least one sidewall in at least one direction in space relative to the housing structure. A method for mounting a heating device is also described.

WEARABLE SELF DEFENSE APPARATUS AND METHOD OF SELF DEFENSE
20200401229 · 2020-12-24 ·

A wearable self-defense apparatus having a body portion configured to be worn on or around a body part of a user includes a high voltage generator configured to generate high voltage electricity for disabling an attacker, a high voltage transmitter electrically coupled to the high voltage generator, a controller configured to control one or more operations of the high voltage generator and a gesture detector operationally coupled to the controller. The gesture detector signals the controller to control the operations of the high voltage generator upon detecting one or more gestures of the user using the body part attached with the wearable self-defense apparatus. Upon receiving the signal from the gesture detector, the controller triggers the high voltage generator to generate high voltage electricity. The high voltage electricity thus generated is transmitted to a target using the high voltage transmitter for temporarily disabling the target.

A safety system includes an electromagnet positioned in an area. A power controller is coupled to the electromagnet to supply power to the electromagnet in accordance with an event. A trigger mechanism configured to trigger the event when the area is traversed by a person with a weapon such that upon activation of the electromagnet a magnetic force is generated capable of attracting the weapon to make continued use difficult or impossible within the area.

Methods and apparatus for detecting a voltage of a stimulus signal of a conducted electrical weapon

Methods and apparatus for detecting a magnitude of a voltage at a face of a conducted electrical weapon (CEW). The magnitude of the voltage may be used to determine whether a pulse of a stimulus signal was delivered to a target. Structures for detecting the magnitude of the voltage may include structures that provide a stimulus voltage.

An interchangeable self-defense device has two self-defense devices and two modular housings, the two self-defense devices are respectively mounted in the two modular housings, and each one of the two modular housings has a mounting structure formed on a side surface of the housing. The two mounting structures of the two modular housings can detachably interlock with each other. With the interchangeable self-defense device, the user may conveniently hold the two self-defense devices together as one piece, and also can quickly switch functions from one self-defense device to another: therefore the user may optimize the defensive strategy to cope with different situations.

OUTER CONDUCTIVE BAND FOR A DEPLOYMENT UNIT OF A CONDUCTED ELECTRICAL WEAPON

A deployment unit for use with a handle of a conducted electrical weapon (CEW). The deployment unit includes wire-tethered electrodes for launching toward a human or animal target for providing a current through the target to impede locomotion of the target. The deployment unit includes a barrier that prior to use with the handle protects the deployment unit from electrostatic discharge. Prior to use of the deployment unit, the barrier may further protect the deployment unit from ingress of dirt and/or moisture into the deployment unit. While the deployment unit is inserted into a handle, the barrier shields conductors of the handle and the deployment unit to facilitate delivery of a launch signal from the handle to the deployment unit to launch the wire-tethered electrodes.
