A NOVEL ELECTROSHOCK WEAPON
20210262770 · 2021-08-26 ·

A novel electroshock device is provided. The novel electroshock device includes a weapon body, a magazine, and at least one electroshock projectile which is used by being positioned into a magazine and ensures that a target is subjected to shock by being fired to the target, and which has no physical connection with the magazine or with a weapon body after being fired to the target.

Methods and apparatus for a conducted electrical weapon

A conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) launches wire-tethered electrodes from multiple cartridges to provide a stimulus signal through a human or animal target to impede locomotion of the target. The CEW may detect the quality of the electrical coupling (e.g., connection) of pairs of electrodes with the target. In accordance with the quality of the connections, the CEW may provide pulses of a stimulus signal to the various connections between electrode pairs in accordance with a sequence. The sequence may provide pulses at a first maximum pulse rate to any one connection to increase the likelihood of inducing neuromuscular incapacitation (“NMI”) and to save energy. The sequence may provide pulses to all connections at a second maximum pulse rate to increase the likelihood of inducing NMI and to save energy.

Wirelessly conducted electronic weapon

An electroshock system wirelessly delivers a shock to a subject. The electroshock system may include a launcher, a wireless projectile, a power source, and a wireless power transmitter. The launcher is configured to be grasped by a user. The wireless projectile is configured to detach from the launcher and adhere to a subject. The power source contributes power for the administration of a shock to the subject. The wireless power transmitter delivers said contributed power to the wireless projectile while the wireless projectile is detached from the launcher. The power source and the wireless transmitter may be co-located with the launcher, or may be separate (such as secured to a person or within a vehicle).

Projectile with nose portion comprising a gas bag expanding on impact to retard the velocity

A projectile includes a bag of gaseous medium to effectively retard the velocity thereof on impact with a target in such a way as to prevent excess damage, injury or penetration, wherein the bag is configured to increase in area at the nose of the projectile following impact with a target, wherein the projectile includes a needle for penetrating a target and a cap which encloses the bag and includes a flat forward-most surface.

INTELLIGENT MUNITION
20210080232 · 2021-03-18 ·

An intelligent munition can position circuitry in a 12 gauge form factor that detects the distance from a target in real-time in order to deploy a parachute to slow the munition to a speed that is conducive to accurate, but non-lethal, deployment of at least one electrode toward the target. The munition can intelligently discharge electrical charge into the target via an electrode to disable the target. The munition may further monitor the target and deliver a subsequent electrical discharge in response to detected target movement.

Device for nonlethally incapacitating a human target

A device for nonlethally incapacitating a human target. The device can propel a net with one or more conductive loops toward a target. The device can then wirelessly electrically energize the conductive loop or loops to further incapacitate the target. In this manner a human target can be safely captured and controlled.

Vehicle defense projectile

A projectile round for intercepting an incoming threat to a vehicle or the like is provided. The projectile round may include an explosive layer, which upon detonation, may cause a the fracturing of one or more material layers into one or both of shrapnel and chaff while simultaneously causing the distortion and/or destruction of a piezoelectric material contained within the projectile round. The distortion and/or destruction of this piezoelectric material may further cause the release of an electromagnetic pulse. The projectile round may be part of a countermeasure system against guided munition threats, including those posed by man-portable air defense systems.
