An interchangeable self-defense device has two self-defense devices and two modular housings, the two self-defense devices are respectively mounted in the two modular housings, and each one of the two modular housings has a mounting structure formed on a side surface of the housing. The two mounting structures of the two modular housings can detachably interlock with each other. With the interchangeable self-defense device, the user may conveniently hold the two self-defense devices together as one piece, and also can quickly switch functions from one self-defense device to another: therefore the user may optimize the defensive strategy to cope with different situations.

Strobed Illuminators (Dazzler) with Synchronized Imaging Optics

A dazzling system has at least one strobe illuminator and multiple imaging optics, which may be of various types. All strobe illuminators are synchronized to each other and the imaging optics are synchronized to all strobe illuminators. The imaging optics may be in-phase or out-of-phase. Various embodiments are possible depending on the application, but in all applications the strobe illuminator(s) disrupt the vision of unauthorized persons while allowing users of the system to view a scenario.

Lighting control

A method of controlling at least one light source to discourage unwanted behavior at a spectator event comprising a plurality of spectator areas, the method comprising: detecting, based on sensor input received from a sensor at the spectator event, at least one spectator exhibiting unwanted behavior within a first one of the spectator areas; determining a location of the first spectator area; identifying a second one of the spectator areas as being a target of the unwanted behavior and determining a location of the second spectator area; and controlling at least one light source based on the determined locations to increase an amount of glare along at least one line of sight between the first and second spectator areas and thereby discourage the spectator from looking towards the second spectator area to discourage the unwanted behavior.
