Clay-pigeon-like projectile for crowd control
A crowd control projectile includes a payload carrier, an incapacitating agent inside the payload carrier, and an activating mechanism for activating the incapacitating agent. The activating mechanism includes a sensor and a timer. The timer delays the activation until a predetermined delay after the sensor senses that the projectile has been launched. Alternatively, the activating mechanism includes a receiver for receiving an activation signal after the projectile has been launched. Preferably, the projectile has the shape of a clay pigeon. A launcher of such a projectile includes a communication mechanism for transmitting a timing signal or an activation signal to the projectile and an arm for launching the projectile by direct contact. To control a crowd, the projectile is launched over the crowd by direct contact with a solid arm and the activating mechanism is used to activate the incapacitating agent when the projectile is above the crowd.
AUTOMATIC RFID ENABLED CLAY TARGET THROWING SYSTEM
A system and method for a clay target throwing system that eliminates physical buttons and voice controls to trigger the throwing devices whereby the system receives various inputs from one or more guests at a shooting range or another type of user whereby the inputs are used to dynamically manage the various target throwing devices. The method is initiated by a guest renting a wearable device with a UHF RFID tag where the guest wearing the wearable device would then walk within a predetermined distance of a computing system having a UHF RFID reader that detects the location of the UHF RFID tag in relation to the computing system.
SPORTS SHOOTING TARGET AND CORRESPONDING LAUNCHING DEVICE AND APPARATUSES
The invention relates to a sports shooting target made of a biodegradable material, the target having a rotational axis (z) and attachment means (2, 4′, 4″, 10, 11, 15) for releasable attachment to a launching device, where the target is provided with trajectory stabilizing means that are configured to stabilize the trajectory of the target by gyro effect caused by rotation about said rotational axis (z) which stabilizing means further function as propelling means that cause forward movement of the target along its trajectory due to the rotation about said rotational axis (z), when the target is rotating, where said stabilizing means comprises a fan comprising fan blades (3′, 3″) that rotates in unison with the target, when the target rotates, such that the stabilizing means both provides said stabilizing gyro effect and forward propulsion (movement) of the target along a chosen trajectory. The target comprises a hub portion (2, 15) configured for releasable attachment to a corresponding portion of a launching device and a plurality of concentric ring members (5, 6, 7; 12, 13, 14) arranged about the rotational axis (z) of the target at different distances (r.sub.5, r.sub.6, r.sub.7) from the rotational axis (z) and outside the hub portion (2) The stabilizing means comprises first fan blades (3′) that extend radially from the hub portion (2, 15) to the ring member (7, 14) provided at the largest distance from the rotational axis (z) and second fan blades (3″) that extend radially between two adjacent ring members. The invention further relates to a launching device for launching the target, launching apparatuses comprising the launching device of the invention as well as a method of launching targets for skeet shooting and similar sport shooting activities
Target launching machine
A machine for launching targets including a base on which there is arranged an assembly having a launching mechanism and a drum for storing targets, assembly being configured so as to be able to move relative to the base, the machine including a tilting device that allows the assembly to move relative to the base, the tilting device having on one hand a first portion connected to the base and having one from among a curved rail and an element for guiding of the rail in a single degree of freedom of tilting along the rail, and on the other hand a second portion connected to the assembly and having the other from among the rail and the guiding element, wherein it comprises a pivot connection about a rotation axis A2 between the second portion and the rest of the assembly.
Luminescent Clay Pigeon Traps
An apparatus arranged to activate luminescence in a projectile comprising: a trigger circuit arranged to cause a clay pigeon trap to launch the projectile; and a light emitting source configured to emit a flash of light in response to a signal from the trigger circuit, wherein the trigger circuit is arranged to provide a predetermined time delay in order to allow the luminescence in the projectile to be activated prior to launching.
COMPACT BALL LAUNCHING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
This disclosure relates to a relatively compact smart ball launching system and associated methods for using the same. In various embodiments, the disclosed ball launching system may comprise a collapsible ball hopper that can store a larger number of balls while maintaining a relatively compact size. In certain embodiments, brushless motors may be used to improve power efficiency while allowing for accurate launch speeds and/or spins. In some embodiments, a pre-launch chamber may be included in a ball dispensing mechanism that may facilitate on-demand shots and/or power savings by shutting the ball launching system down when the ball hopper is empty. In further embodiments, the ball launching system may be controlled, at least in part, via a mobile device. In some implementations, the ball launching system may include and/or otherwise interface with a camera system to facilitate improved calibration and/or record user actions.
