Castable frangible projectile
A novel castable frangible projectile and techniques for manufacturing such are provided. A cartridge system includes a case defining a volume, a propellant disposed in the volume of the case, and a projectile coupled to the case. The projectile includes a body disposed at least partially within the case and configured to enclose the propellant within the volume of the case. The body is formed of a castable eutectic mixture, the castable eutectic mixture configured to be melted and cast, wherein the body is configured to break into a plurality of fragments upon impact with a target.

Method of Manufacturing A Cartridge Case
A method of manufacturing cartridge cases, wherein the method comprises fabricating a plurality of substantially identically sized and shaped unmarked inventory cases suitable for use in manufacturing a plurality of different caliber cartridges and selecting a number of the plurality of the unmarked inventory cases to be used to manufacturing a selected one of the plurality different caliber cartridges. The method further comprises inscribing, via a laser inscription device, the selected number of unmarked inventory cases to identify at least the selected one of the plurality of different caliber cartridges the selected number of unmarked inventory cases are to be used to manufacture.
SHELL CASE DESIGN UTILIZING METAL INJECTION MOLDING
Disclosed is a cartridge case for various caliber ammunition that consists essentially of a powdered metal and/or powdered metal alloy that is formed into the cartridge case through an injection mold processing. Also disclosed is a method for forming a cartridge case, which may include use of Metal Injection Molding (“MIM”) processes to produce the cartridge case which retains a primer, propellant, and/or a bullet. The method can include metal injection molding an initial part, and also at least one of tapering and trimming the initial part to form the finished cartridge case. Further embodiments can include the use of Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis to develop an optimized MIM design.

Short round for lightweight automatic weapon
An ammunition cartridge having a cup-shaped casing. The cup-shaped casing has a closed reward end with a rearward diameter and an open forward end having a forward diameter that is larger than the rearward diameter. A sidewall extends between the peripheries of the rearward end and the top end of the casing. The sidewall tapers from the smaller rearward diameter to the larger forward diameter along a length of a hollow interior of the casing that holds a propellant charge.
Double shoulder angle firearm cartridge and chamber for AR-15, bolt rifles, pistols, and other firearms
A double shoulder angle firearm cartridge for AR-15, bolt action rifles, pistols, and any other firearm includes a firearm cartridge comprising a case that holds a primer, powder, and bullet. The case is defined by a case head forming a rim and an extractor groove, a body section extending from the case head, at least two shoulder angles extending from the body section, and a neck section extending from the shoulder angles. The shoulder is defined by at least two angles tapering into each other in an integral configuration. The first angle is 30; and the second angle being a 17 30 shoulder angle, substantially the same as the 7.6239 Russian round. The diameter of the case is approximately 0.447 inches. The length of the case is approximately 1.530 inches.
