Ballistic arrow and components
A hunting arrow having an arrow shaft with a front end and a back end. The hunting arrow has at least one arrow blade attached to the arrow shaft, and has a closed position and at least one open position. The at least one arrow blade is substantially flush with the arrow shaft when in the closed position, and extends radially outward from the arrow shaft when in an open position. In addition, the hunting arrow has an arrow tip that is attached to the front end of the arrow shaft and is capable of moving longitudinally toward or away from the arrow shaft. The arrow tip is operatively engaged with the at least one arrow blade so that the arrow tip opens and closes the at least one arrow blade by moving relative to the arrow shaft.
Arrow system
A arrow system embodying a glue-in configuration or screw-over configuration of broadhead to arrow shaft connection is provided. The glue-in configuration provides an externally threadless broadhead shank for slidably reception into the complementary and cross-sectionally coextensive lumen of the arrow shaft. The screw-over configuration provides a broadhead with female internal threading that operatively associates with male threading of an insert that interconnects the broadhead to the lumen of the arrow shaft.
SHAFTS WITH INTERNAL BRACING FOR SPORTING GOODS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Disclosed herein are internally fluted shafts for sporting goods such as archery arrows, crossbow bolts, and golf clubs, as well as methods of manufacturing shafts with fluted internal diameters or bracing.
ARROW COMPONENT SYSTEM WITH A REINFORCED INSERT ASSEMBLY AND ARROWHEADS FOR SMALLER DIAMETER ARROWS
An arrow component system and broadhead are described that is designed to provide improved alignment and strength. The arrow component system includes a hidden or concealed-from-view insert inside the shaft (e.g., “a reinforced insert” or “a reinforced insert assembly”). A collar is included that is positioned or positionable over the shaft, and the collar includes a flange covering the front of the shaft and a tapered section at the rear of the collar. Additionally, an arrowhead design is provided that includes a shank of approximately 1.0 inches for small and micro diameter arrows.
DUAL SHAFT ARROW AND INSERT
A dual shaft arrow insert. The dual shaft arrow insert includes a first portion, where the first portion is configured to attach to an inner surface of a terminal end of an inner shaft of a dual arrow system. The dual shaft arrow insert also includes a second portion. The second portion is attached to the first portion and includes an outer diameter which is larger than an outer diameter of the first portion. The dual shaft arrow insert further includes a collar. The collar is attached to the second portion opposite the first portion and includes a larger outer diameter than the outer diameter of the second portion. The dual shaft arrow insert additionally includes an attachment configured to allow for attachment of an arrowhead.
