UNIT DOSES FOR RELEASING AN AQUEOUS FORMULATION

The invention relates to biodegradable unit doses intended to contain, store, preserve, transport and dispense an aqueous formulation. The doses comprise a shell containing the aqueous formulation, which is made of a material comprising a mixture of biodegradable polymers A and B, such that: —biodegradable polymer A is a thermoplastic polymer having a glass transition temperature of less than 0° C. and —the biodegradable polymer B is a thermoplastic polymer having a glass transition temperature greater than 50° C., characterised in that the unit dose is spherically shaped comprising two poles and an equatorial area, —the equatorial area corresponding to a junction of the two hemispheres and —the shell having at least one line of circumferential weakness, or even two lines of circumferential weakness, located between the equatorial area and one or both poles.

A digitally controlled hand-tossable explosive delivery receptacle comprises a ruggedized reusable compartment enclosing a digital circuit and a disposable cartridge holding one or more explosive chemical agents and a primer. The disposable cartridge is configured to be mounted to the ruggedized reusable cartridge, and a high-strength bulkhead incorporated into the reusable or disposable compartment that separates the digital circuit from the chemical agents. The reusable compartment is sufficiently ruggedized to withstand the ignition of the primer and the detonation of the chemical agents to be reused with one or more additional disposable cartridges. In one implementation, the delivery receptacle uses a commercial airbag initiator as the primer, which is arranged in relation to the one or more chemical agents so that when the initiator is activated, it generates a pressure wave that expels the one or more chemical agents from the grenade.

Inner bore detents for a cartridge of a conducted electrical weapon

A CEW includes a handle and one or more cartridges. A cartridge may cooperate with the handle to launch one or more electrodes. Launched electrodes fly toward the target to couple to the target to provide a stimulus signal through the target to impede locomotion of the target. Prior to launch, detents may retain an electrode in a bore of the cartridge. The bore may be sealed with a door. Launching the electrode may remove the door from the cartridge. The door may couple to the electrode. The door may remain coupled to the electrode during flight and impact of the electrode with the target. The door may cushion the impact of the electrode against the target. Cushioning the impact may reduce the likelihood of injuring the target. Retaining the door coupled to the electrode during flight may improve the flight characteristics of the electrode.

Castable frangible projectile

A novel castable frangible projectile and techniques for manufacturing such are provided. A cartridge system includes a case defining a volume, a propellant disposed in the volume of the case, and a projectile coupled to the case. The projectile includes a body disposed at least partially within the case and configured to enclose the propellant within the volume of the case. The body is formed of a castable eutectic mixture, the castable eutectic mixture configured to be melted and cast, wherein the body is configured to break into a plurality of fragments upon impact with a target.
