Tillage implement with vision sensors

A control system for a tillage implement broadly includes front and rear sensors, a leveling assembly, and a controller. The front sensor is positioned on a front of a central section, wherein the front sensor is configured to obtain height information indicative of a height of the front of the central section above a ground. The rear sensor is positioned on a rear of the central section, wherein the rear sensor is configured to obtain height information indicative of a height of the rear of the central section above the ground. The leveling assembly is configured to adjust a front to rear orientation of the central section. The controller is configured to receive the height information from the front sensor and the height information from the rear sensor, and to provide instructions to the leveling assembly to adjust the front to rear orientation of the central section based on the received height information.

Smart sensor system for agricultural implements

An agricultural planting or seeding implement having a ground engaging tool that forms an opening along an axis in the soil, a sensor disposed aft of the ground engaging tool, and a row unit disposed aft of both the ground engaging tool and the sensor relative to a direction of travel of the agricultural planting or seeding implement. The sensor engages with the ground at a depth within the opening and generates a signal indicative of a soil property of the ground.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PLANTER WEIGHT TRANSFER SYSTEMS

A control system for managing weight transfer along sections of a tractor drawn tool bar for use in row planting systems is provided. The planter weight transfer system comprises first and second assemblies secured to each other and to a row planter tool bar by a set of fasteners. Additionally, the bolt-on brackets are joined at the top by an actuator which applies a force on the brackets. An improved PID-based WTS control system provides improved and balanced operation of agricultural machinery planting multiple rows with a multiple row planter units attached along a set of tool bars, wherein the wing sections and the center section of the tool bar complex are maintained in relative position by operation of the WTS and control system.

HYDRAULIC HEIGHT CONTROL FOR AGRICULTURAL TILLAGE EQUIPMENT

A hydraulic height control system controls all raising, lowering and folding movement of agricultural tillage equipment. The system includes a single hydraulic circuit utilizing non-rephase cylinders which allows for independent raising and lowering of the equipment frame sections and tool gangs. The hydraulic circuit also controls the folding of the frame wings between field and transport positions. Sensors monitor component positions. The hydraulic circuit also uses a common rail for providing fluid to the cylinders. The system achieves precise depth control in the high speed tilling agricultural environment by keeping the tilling components at the appropriate depth or operating position

An agricultural machine hitched to a tractor and includes two side units and a frame, which extends in a longitudinal direction, each side unit including an arm mounted so as to pivot relative to the frame around a respective folding axis oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction, each side unit including a tool unit connected to the frame through the respective arm and being able to occupy a work position in which it rests on the ground, each side unit including a connection allowing the respective tool unit in work position to move relative to the respective arm, the connection includes a lightening actuator enabling to exert an upward force on each tool unit in work position. The machine includes a tie-rod connected to each of the arms through a respective upper joint of an axis parallel to the respective folding axis.

Agricultural vehicle-trailer combination

An agricultural vehicle-trailer combination includes a traction module including a drive element for engaging in a ground, a working appliance coupled to the traction module by a coupling apparatus, and a folding axle supporting the working appliance relative to the ground at least during a transport mode. A slewing mechanism of the coupling apparatus provides a degree of freedom of rotation between the traction module and the working appliance along a longitudinal axis of the working appliance. A pivot joint provides a degree of freedom of pivoting between the traction module and the working appliance along a vertical axis of the traction module. The pivot joint is adjustable relative to its pivot angle by a steering actuator for influencing the direction of travel of the vehicle-trailer combination.

Agricultural implement

An agricultural implement comprising: a ground engaging tool; and an actuator mechanism (366; 466; 566). The actuator mechanism is configured to provide a bias force to the ground engaging tool such that it is biased towards a working position. The agricultural implement also includes a controller that is configured to automatically set the level of the bias force that is provided by the actuator mechanism based on control-data.
