A rotary fluid machine has an inner rotor and an outer shell held by a stationary support structure, arranged so that sealing points on the inside of the shell interact in a sealing arrangement with the outer surface of the rotor to define working chambers, such that in use the relative motion of the rotor to the shell causes fluid to be moved through ducts in the rotor and rotor shaft, between the working chambers and a point where the rotor shaft interacts with the support structure.

INTEGRATED ENERGY GENERATING DAMPER

A linear energy harvesting device that includes a housing and a piston that moves at least partially through the housing when it is compressed or extended from a rest position. When the piston moves, hydraulic fluid is pressurized and drives a hydraulic motor. The hydraulic motor drives an electric generator that produces electricity. Both the motor and generator are central to the device housing. Exemplary configurations are disclosed such as monotube, twin-tube, tri-tube and rotary based designs that each incorporates an integrated energy harvesting apparatus. By varying the electrical characteristics on an internal generator, the kinematic characteristics of the energy harvesting apparatus can be dynamically altered. In another mode, the apparatus can be used as an actuator to create linear movement. Applications include vehicle suspension systems (to act as the primary damper component), railcar bogie dampers, or industrial applications such as machinery dampers and wave energy harvesters, and electro-hydraulic actuators.

System and Method for Improved Performance of Gerotor Compressors and Expanders

A system and method are presented for improved performance of gerotor compressors and expanders. Certain aspects of the disclosure reduce porting losses in a gerotor system. Other aspects of the disclosure provide for reduced deflection in lobes of an outer rotor of a gerotor system. Still other aspects of the disclosure provide for reduced leakage through tight gaps between components of a gerotor system.

Electro-hydraulic drive system

Provided is an electro-hydraulic drive system including first and second electro-hydraulic transmissions for driving respective wheels, the transmissions each including an electric motor, a hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor, and a hydraulic motor drive by the hydraulic pump. When used in a turf vehicle, such as a zero-turn-radius mower, the electro-hydraulic drive system operates the wheels independently from an engine of the mower, thereby allowing the mower to be moved without having to start the engine. In this way, power consumption is lowered and total efficiency of the mower is increased.

GENSET FOR TOP DRIVE UNIT

A system includes an accessory tool selected from a group consisting of a casing unit, a cementing unit, and a drilling unit; and a genset mounted to the accessory tool and comprising: a fluid driven motor having an inlet and an outlet for connection to a control swivel of the system; an electric generator connected to the fluid driven motor; a manifold having an inlet for connection to the control swivel and an outlet connected an accessory tool actuator; and a control unit in communication with the electric generator and the manifold and comprising a wireless data link.
