A plurality of film-holes can be provided in the tip rail. A flow of cooling fluid can be provided through the film-holes from the interior of the blade to cool the tip of the blade.

A tip cap extends in the chordwise direction along the at least one of the pressure and suction sides. The sheath includes a first set of interface members. The tip cap includes a second set of interface members interleaved with the first set of interface members to establish at least one joint along an external surface of the at least one of the pressure and suction sides. A method of assembly for an airfoil is also disclosed.

The blade outer air seal segment also including a stress-relief boss extending into the cooling channel and an inlet orifice fluidly coupled to the cooling channel through the stress-relief boss. The blade outer air seal segment further including a stress-relief recess. The stress-relief boss being located within the stress relief recess.
