Turbine engine with annular cavity

An apparatus for a turbine engine comprising an outer casing, an engine core provided within outer casing and having a at least one set of blades, and through which gasses flow in a forward to aft direction, an outer drum located within the outer casing to define an annular cavity. A set of seals extending between the first surface and the second surface to define at least one cooled cavity within the annular cavity.

Turbine blades having damper pin slot features

A turbine blade includes an airfoil that extends radially between a root end and a tip end, a platform coupled to the root end, and a shank that extends radially inwardly from the platform. The shank includes a cover plate. The cover plate includes an outer surface, an opposite inner surface, and a contoured face that at least partially defines a damper pin slot. The contoured face extends from the outer surface to a first blend edge. The cover plate also includes a blended surface that extends from the first blend edge to a second blend edge. The second blend edge intersects with the inner surface.

Steam turbine

This steam turbine is provided with: a steam turbine rotor which extends in an axial direction; a pair of bearings which support the steam turbine rotor in such a way as to be capable of rotating about the axial direction; a steam turbine casing which encloses the steam turbine rotor between the pair of bearings; a casing support unit which supports the steam turbine casing from below; and a first heating unit which is provided on the casing support unit and which is capable of heating the casing support unit.

ASSEMBLY OF VANE UNITS

A vane assembly includes a plurality of vane units and a connecting part. Each vane unit includes a base having a through-hole positioned between opposing longitudinal faces of the base. The connecting part includes a lacing bar that is insertable into and through the through-holes for coupling at least two adjacent vane units into the vane assembly. In the vane assembly the connecting part is arranged through the through holes of the plurality of vane units clamping the vane units on the lacing bar.

Unshrouded turbomachine impeller with improved rigidity

An unshrouded turbomachine impeller is disclosed. The impeller comprises a hub and a plurality of sequentially arranged blades. Each blade extends from a blade root at the hub to a blade tip and is comprised of a first blade edge and a second blade edge. A flow vane is formed between each pair of neighboring blades. A connection member extends across each flow vane between neighboring blades and rigidly or monolithically connects a first modal displacement region of a first one of the pair of neighboring blades to a second modal displacement region of a second one of the pair of neighboring blades.
