SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MATERIAL METERING SYSTEM OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT

A method for controlling a material flow rate from a metering system of an agricultural system includes receiving at a controller, a weight of a material in a storage tank. The method also includes receiving, at the controller, a volume of the material in the storage tank. The method also includes determining, via the controller, a density of the material in the storage tank using the weight of the material in the storage tank and the volume of the material in the storage tank. The method further includes determining, via the controller, a calibration of the metering system based on the density of the material in the storage tank.

Single Particulate Metering System With Variable Rate Controls

An improved particulate metering system is provided. The system includes an air flow origin and a plurality of particulate accelerators. A single particulate source is in communication with the particulate accelerators. Each of a plurality of operated conveyances can be in operable communication with the single particulate source and one of the particulate accelerators. The system includes a confluence of the air flow and the particulate within the mixing area of each of the particulate accelerators. Each of a plurality of discharges can be associated with the particulate accelerators. The operated conveyances can operate at different rates. The system can include one or more gearboxes adapted to be inverted and controlled by a second drive system. The improved system and controls provide variable application rates of particulate across rows in a field.

DEVICE FOR DELIVERING SOLID PARTICLES ON DEMAND, INTENDED FOR AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY

Device for delivering solid particles on demand, intended for agricultural machine, wherein the delivery on demand of solid particles to a receiving device is regulated, particularly in the field of technology for transporting solid granulated materials by means of an air stream, without being exclusive, in agricultural machinery when an air stream is used to transport seeds or fertilizer granules from at least one central hopper to the dosing/metering equipment located on the sowing unit, and including a source of pressurized air, a distributor of solid particles “S”, a hopper whose bottom feeds solid particles “S” to the distributor and a plate permeable to the passage of air and on which said particles “S” settle.

MATERIAL INTRODUCTION LOCK FOR A DISTRIBUTION MACHINE, AND DISTRIBUTION MACHINE

A material introduction lock for a distribution machine for pneumatically conveying granular material in a conveying line adjoining a material introduction lock includes: an air inlet, a material conveying element, and a material infeed element, where a pneumatic conveying flow is supplied to the material conveying element via the air inlet, and the material infeed element is arranged between the material conveying element and the conveying line so that the granular material in the conveying line supplied via the material infeed element is conveyed in the conveying line by the pneumatic conveying flow supplied by the material conveying element. Further, the material infeed element includes a rinsing nozzle clement which is connected to the air inlet and creates a film of air that sheathes the material infeed element from the inside, and the rinsing nozzle element is configured to reduce contact between the granular material and the material infeed element.

AIR ENTRAINMENT DEVICE, SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS

A planter includes a seed a delivery system for delivering seed from one or more hoppers to one or more row units of the planter. The seed delivery system includes a number of seed entrainers. The seed entrainers receive seed from the one or more hoppers. The seed is combined with a fluid, such as air, which moves the seed through the seed entrainer and towards one or more row units of the planter. The entrainer includes one or more outlets, with the outlets corresponding to different row units, and the outlets can be varied based upon the need of seed delivery for the planter.

Seed inductor apparatus

An inductor apparatus includes an inductor assembly mounted under a seed container such that seeds flow into a reservoir. An air conduit carrying pressurized air extends along the reservoir. Seed channels extend from an inlet located above a pickup air opening in the air conduit to an outlet, and a bypass channel extends downward from each seed channel through an upper wall of the air conduit. A pickup air stream flowing out the pickup air opening forms a seed air stream entrained with seeds flowing into each seed channel inlet and a bypass air stream flows from the air conduit through each bypass channel into each seed channel and the combined seed and bypass air streams flow out the seed channel outlets. The seed channel outlets can be arranged along each side of the inductor assembly, and the rate of flow of the bypass air stream can be adjusted.
