A particulate material delivery system for an agricultural implement including, an inductor box configured to receive particulate material from a tank, the inductor box including, an inductor segment comprising an air bypass channel extending through a particulate material supply chamber, wherein the particulate material supply chamber is configured to receive the particulate material for distribution to at least one row unit, and the air bypass channel is configured to guide airflow through the particulate material supply chamber without interacting with a flow of the particulate material through the particulate material supply chamber, and an airflow control device in communication with the inductor segment and configured to control the airflow through the air bypass channel.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FAN OPERATION OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
A system for controlling fan operation of an agricultural implement includes a tank configured to store an agricultural product and a conduit configured to receive the dispensed agricultural product. Furthermore, the implement includes a conduit fan configured to supply pressurized air to the conduit such that the pressurized air conveys the dispensed agricultural product through the conduit and a tank fan configured to supply pressurized air to the tank. Additionally, a computing system is configured to determine a first pressure of the pressurized air within the conduit and a second pressure of the pressurized air within the tank based. Moreover, the computing system is configured to determine a pressure differential between the first and second pressures. Furthermore, the computing system is configured to control a flow of the pressurized air supplied to the tank based on the determined pressure differential.
Tool-free coupling structure in agricultural machines
An agricultural vehicle includes a coupling structure for making a tool-less attachment between a first connector piece and a second connector piece. The first connector piece has at least one pin, and the second connector piece has at least one slot adapted to receive the pin in a receiving pocket that is circumferentially spaced from an axially-open inlet portion of the slot. The slot includes an inlet ramp between the slot inlet portion and the receiving pocket, and the inlet ramp is less steeply angled than a second ramp surface that forms a portion of the receiving pocket adjacent the first ramp.
QUICK DISCONNECT CONVEYANCE TUBES
A fluid line connection for a manifold of a pneumatic distribution system for an agricultural air seeder. The fluid line connection has a male connector extending from the manifold and a plurality of threads on an exterior surface, a fitting connector configured to retain a primary tube thereon, the fitting connector defining a lip, and a locking ring having a plurality of threads and a receiving portion on an interior surface, the receiving portion configured to receive the lip to retain the fitting connector with the locking ring, and the plurality of threads of the locking ring configured to engage the plurality of threads on the male connector. The fitting connector is removable from the male connector by disengaging the locking ring without requiring axial movement of the fitting connector.
Air boom spreader for particulate material
An air-boom spreader has a hopper for containing particulate material, a metering device having a plurality of sluices, a plurality of outlets transversely spaced-apart on a boom in a direction perpendicular to the direction of travel of the spreader, and a plurality of air lines connecting the plurality of sluices to the plurality of outlets for conveying the particulate material in an air stream from the plurality of sluices to the plurality of outlets. The spreader has more than twice as many outlets as sluices, and the plurality of outlets has an innermost outlet, an outermost outlet and at least three other outlets between the innermost outlet and the outermost outlet whereby each of the innermost outlet and the outermost outlet are supplied with half as much of the particulate material as each of the at least three other outlets.
Applicator with multiple offset booms and method of controlling the same
An agricultural product delivery applicator for delivering particulate product to a field. The applicator includes a supply compartment to hold the product, a pneumatic conveying system, a metering system, and a controller. The pneumatic conveying system includes first delivery line operably connected to an airflow source and to the supply compartment, and a second delivery line operably connected to the airflow source and to the supply compartment. The metering system includes a first metering device associated with the first delivery line and a second metering device associate with the second delivery line. The controller controls the air flow source, the first metering device to meter product to result in a first mixed flow of airflow and product for the first delivery line, and the second metering device to meter product with the airflow to result in a second mixed flow of airflow and product for the second delivery line.
Agricultural seeder implements
An agricultural seeder implement includes a seed boot connected directly to an opener having a leading extremity and a trailing extremity. The seed boot and the opener form a channel and an outlet. The channel extends forwardly from an inlet of the seed boot proximate to the trailing extremity of the opener to the outlet behind the leading extremity of the opener. The opener is for being pulled for cutting a furrow in the ground by the leading extremity ahead of the outlet, and the channel is for guiding a stream of air-driven seed forwardly therethrough from the inlet and into the furrow through the outlet directed downwardly in the furrow.
PRESSURE BALANCED METER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE
A meter assembly for an agricultural machine includes a meter, a conduit, and a bypass. The meter includes a roller to move commodity to the conduit. The bypass is coupled to the conduit and the meter to facilitate air flow therebetween free of interference from the roller or the commodity.
Pneumatic delivery system for application implement using multiple metering devices
A pneumatic delivery system for particulate agricultural products includes one or more compartment for containing and supplying one or more particulate product. An inductor assembly separately receives and fluidizes the particulate products and conveys the fluidized products to a metering assembly. The metering assembly separately meters each of the product flows and transfers the metered flows to one or more delivery units for applying the products. The pneumatic delivery system can be used on various implements, including planters and applicators for applying seeds, fertilizer, pesticides and other products.
Quick connect pneumatic coupler
A pneumatic coupler and method for coupling a hose to a surface of an agricultural implement is provided. The pneumatic coupler includes a hollow tube with a radially extending flange. The flange has one or more cutouts to permit the flange to pass through an aperture containing one or more protrusions. The flange has one or more recesses to mate with the one or more protrusions to mitigate rotation of the pneumatic coupler relative to the surface. A nut connects to the hollow tube and at least partially surrounds the hollow tube. A sealing member disposed between the flange and the nut provides a seal at the aperture of the surface.
