STEAM TURBINE PLANT
A steam turbine plant includes a high-medium pressure turbine having a high-pressure turbine section provided at one end portion in an axial direction and a medium-pressure turbine section provided at the other end portion; a low-pressure turbine disposed coaxially with the high-medium pressure turbine; a condenser configured to cool steam used in the low-pressure turbine to condense the steam into condensate; and a feed-water heater configured to heat the condensate with steam discharged from the high-pressure turbine section. The plant also includes a low-pressure moisture separating and heating device configured to remove moisture of steam discharged from the medium-pressure turbine section, and to heat the steam with a part of steam to be sent to an inlet portion of the high-pressure turbine section and a part of steam to be sent to an inlet portion of the medium-pressure turbine section from an outlet portion of the high-pressure turbine section.
INCREASED WATER HEAT ABSORPTION CAPACITY FOR STEAM INJECTED TURBINE ENGINE
A turbine engine assembly includes a core engine that generates an exhaust gas flow, a condenser where water is extracted from the exhaust gas flow, an evaporator where heat is input into the water that is extracted by the condenser into a first steam flow, a steam turbine where the first steam flow is expanded and cooled, and a superheater where additional heat is input into the first steam flow that is exhausted from the steam turbine to generate a second steam flow. The second steam flow is injected into a core flow path of the core engine.

Apparatus and method for reactor power control of steam turbine power generation system
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for reactor power control of a steam turbine power generation system including a reactor, a high-pressure turbine to which steam is supplied from the reactor through a main steam pipe, a low-pressure turbine to which the steam discharged from the high-pressure turbine is supplied via a moisture separator reheater, a branch pipe branched from the main steam pipe to be connected to the moisture separator reheater, a generator connected to the low-pressure turbine, a condenser for condensing the steam discharged from the low-pressure turbine, a condensate pump for feeding condensate condensed by the condenser, and feed water heaters for heating the condensate, the apparatus including a branch pipe control valve provided on the branch pipe and a control unit for controlling an opening degree of the branch pipe control valve.
COANDA EFFECT MOISTURE SEPARATOR SYSTEM
The present application provides a pre-separator for use with a flow of steam entering a moisture separator reheater. The pre-separator may include a neck, an internal baffle, a wall, a first pathway defined between the neck and the internal baffle, and a second pathway defined between the internal baffle and the wall. The first pathway and the second pathway create a Coanda effect for the flow of steam entering the moisture separator reheater.
Turbine control valves dynamic interaction
Method for controlling steam admission into a steam turbine, the turbine comprising a high pressure casing, at least one reduced pressure casing and an admission steam control system, the high pressure casing and at least one reduced pressure casing comprising control valves for steam admission. The admission steam control system manages the following steps: determining a steam flow demand; elaborating a high pressure control valve opening setpoint depending on the determined steam flow demand; imposing the elaborated high pressure control valve opening setpoint to the high pressure control valves; elaborating a reduced pressure control valve opening setpoint depending on the determined steam flow demand through the dynamic interaction between high pressure control valve opening setpoint and reduced pressure control valve opening setpoint; and imposing the elaborated reduced pressure control valve opening setpoint to the reduced pressure control valves.
Method and apparatus for controlling moisture separator reheater
A system and a method are provided that may be used to control the temperature of steam being reheated by a moisture separator reheater (MSR). One embodiment provides a system including a steam turbine, a moisture separator reheater coupled to the steam turbine, and a controller programmed to control a temperature of steam leaving the moisture separator reheater based at least in part on sensor feedback. The controller is programmed to facilitate substantially smooth linear temperature ramping.
