Multiple Variety Seed Meter With Segmented Sump Arrangement and Seed Switching Arrangement
A multiple variety seed meter is provided for multi-variety row crop planting. The seed meter includes a segmented sump that may include an active sump segment and an inactive sump segment. A seed switching arrangement is used to select which seed variety is available in the active sump segment for exposure to a seed disk for singulation by a seed disk for delivery onto the agricultural field while planting.
Systems and Methods for Depositing Seeds in a Grow Pod
Devices, systems, and methods for depositing plant seeds are provided herein. Some embodiments include a seeder head device that includes a body having a proximal end and a distal end spaced a distance from the proximal end, a bore extending through an interior of the body from the proximal end to the distal end, a first hold arm disposed within the bore and coupled to a first actuator, and a second hold arm disposed within the bore and coupled to a second actuator. The bore includes a proximal opening at the proximal end and a distal opening at the distal end, and is shaped and sized to receive seeds at the proximal opening. The first hold arm and the second hold arm are movable to selectively allow one or more of the seeds to fall under force of gravity (or other force) to the distal opening of the bore.
Air seed meter housing with seed path relief
A seed metering system, for use on a row crop planter, selects individual seeds from a seed reservoir and dispenses the seeds singularly at a controlled rate. A direct drive seed metering system includes a seed disc having a plurality of suction apertures with a recessed pocket adjacent to an aperture. The recessed pockets act to agitate seeds in the seed reservoir and to direct seed flow towards the apertures. A seed path relief system allows the placement of the seeds such that they are released from an outer edge of the seed disc. An adjustable seed singulator is mounted adjacent to the face of the seed disc where inner and outer blades are adjusted radially to compensate for the singulation of various seed sizes and shapes. The seed disc is driven via engagement of an internal gear with the external gear of an independent drive motor.
AGRICULTURAL METERING SYSTEM HAVING MULTIPLE SETS OF METER ROLLERS
An agricultural metering device with a variable geometry meter roller is provided. The agricultural metering device includes a meter roller having a plurality of flutes. An aggregate cross sectional area of the flutes increases along a longitudinal axis of the meter roller.
Air seed meter with adjustable singulator
A seed metering system, for use on a row crop planter, selects individual seeds from a seed reservoir and dispenses the seeds singularly at a controlled rate. A direct drive seed metering system includes a seed disc having a plurality of suction apertures with a recessed pocket adjacent to an aperture. The recessed pockets act to agitate seeds in the seed reservoir and to direct seed flow towards the apertures. A seed path relief system provides for allowing the placement of the seeds such that they are released from an outer edge of the seed disc. An adjustable seed singulator is mounted adjacent to the face of the seed disc where inner and outer blades are adjusted radially to compensate for the singulation of various seed sizes and shapes. The seed disc is driven via engagement of an internal gear with the external gear of an independent drive motor.
RINGED METER ROLLER
A system includes an agricultural metering system with a meter roller configured to meter product from an agricultural product storage compartment to a product distribution system via rotation of the meter roller. The meter roller includes a first meter roller segment having a first plurality of flutes and corresponding recesses, and a second meter roller segment having a second plurality of flutes and a corresponding second plurality of recesses. The flutes of the first meter roller segment are axially separated from the flutes of the second meter roller segment by a gap. The meter roller also includes a dividing ring disposed about the shaft and axially positioned between the first meter roller segment and the second meter roller segment. A width of the dividing ring is substantially equal to the gap.
RINGED METER ROLLER AND SLIDE CUTOFF SYSTEM
Agricultural metering system having multiple sets of meter rollers
An agricultural metering system includes multiple independently controllable sets of meter rollers. Each set of meter rollers includes at least one meter roller, each set of meter rollers is configured to rotate about a respective rotational axis, the rotational axes are generally perpendicular to a common plane, and the rotational axes are offset relative to one another in the common plane. The agricultural metering system also includes multiple meter boxes configured to receive agricultural product from a storage tank. Each set of meter rollers is disposed within a respective meter box, and each set of meter rollers is configured to meter the agricultural product from the storage tank. In addition, the agricultural metering system includes multiple distribution lines. Each distribution line is disposed downstream from a respective set of meter rollers and configured to receive the agricultural product output from the respective set of meter rollers.
