A modular meter roller for an agricultural metering system. The modular meter roller includes a first roller segment that couples to and rotates with a shaft to meter flowable particulate material. The first roller segment includes a body that defines an aperture. The aperture receives the shaft and the aperture defines a plurality of vertices. A first plurality of fins extending radially outward from the body. The first plurality of fins defines a first plurality of grooves in the first roller segment that receives flowable particulate material. A vertex of the plurality of vertices of the aperture is offset from a longitudinal axis of a fin of the first plurality of fins.

A modular meter roller for an agricultural metering system. The modular meter roller system includes a modular shaft that rotates. The modular shaft includes a first shaft section. The first shaft section includes a first shaft portion. The first shaft portion supports a first roller segment. A second shaft portion couples to the first shaft portion. The second shaft section couples to the second shaft portion by sliding over the second shaft portion. An end cap couples to the second shaft section. The end cap couples a first end plate to the modular shaft.

The second end plate enables an exchange of the first roller segment with a second roller segment and blocks removal of the first roller segment in a second axial direction during operation of the modular meter roller.

The row units also include a meter housing with a housing member and a removable cover. The housing member is attached to the row unit support structure and houses a metering element. The metering element is configured to singulate a commodity and meter the commodity from the meter housing. The row unit further includes an air pressure device configured to generate an air pressure differential across the metering element to retain the commodity on the metering element. The air pressure device is fixed relative to the row unit support structure. The air pressure device is configured to remain fixed relative to the row unit support structure as the cover is removed and reattached.

Agricultural implement nozzle assemblies of the present disclosure may include a meter input housing, a locking tab, and a tubular nozzle. The meter input housing may include a tubular opening. The locking tab may protrude from a peripheral region of the tubular opening. The tubular nozzle may include a locking mechanism complementary to the locking tab protruding from the peripheral region of the tubular opening. The nozzle may be rotatable relative to the tubular opening when the nozzle is coupled to the meter input housing via the locking mechanism and the locking tab. A seed meter for an agricultural planter having a seed disc rotating in a direction of travel. The seed disc includes a seed side surface and a vacuum side and a plurality of seed apertures. A plurality of guide cavities are disposed on the vacuum side adjacent to the seed apertures. The seed meter includes a seed ejector assembly having a lever arm supporting an ejector wheel and a guide wheel. The lever arm is biased toward the vacuum side of the seed disc such that the ejector wheel engages the see apertures and the guide wheel engages the guide cavities as the seed disc rotates.

A seeding machine for a row unit, in which the row unit has a seed disk rotatable about a first axis to convey seed from a seed reservoir, includes a seed delivery apparatus. The seed delivery apparatus includes an elongated housing having a first opening through which seed is received, a second opening through which seed exits, and an elongated interior chamber. The seed delivery apparatus further includes a first pulley, a second pulley, and an endless member driven by the first pulley and/or the second pulley. The endless member is movable within the elongated interior chamber to receive seed from the first opening and convey seed to the second opening. A seed diverter is movable with respect to the endless member and pivotable about a second axis non-coincident with the first axis. The seed diverter is positioned to contact and guide seed into the seed delivery apparatus.

A seed meter for dispensing seed. The seed meter comprises a housing at least partially enclosing an interior space. The housing includes a top surface defining a seed inlet, and further includes a seed outlet. The seed meter additionally includes a metering wheel positioned within the interior space of the housing. The metering wheel is configured to carry seed through the housing when rotating in a first direction or in a second direction. The seed meter further includes a pair of retractable seed guards positioned within the interior space of the housing. The seed guards are each configured to be selectively configured in an operating configuration and in a retracted configuration. In the operating configuration the seed guards are configured to prevent excess seed from passing through the seed meter, and in the retracted configuration the seed guards are configured to permit large obstacles to pass through the seed meter.
