Crop input variety selection systems, methods, and apparatus

Systems, methods and apparatus are disclosed for selecting an agricultural input. First and second seed meters selectively meter seed from first and second sources, respectively, into a common planting trench. In some embodiments the seed meters are selectively operated by electric motors controlled with reference to a seed type prescription. In some embodiments the first and second seed meters deposit seeds along a common plane.

Agricultural sowing implements and seed meters

An agricultural sowing implement that, when moved by a drive unit, distributes seeds in the ground with regular, uniform spacing. The agricultural sowing implement comprises a rocker system placed behind the chassis of the implement where a seed dispenser is positioned. The rocker system may include a beam connected to two depth-limiting wheels on the ends of the beam. In one embodiment of the disclosure, provision is made for two interlinked smaller wheels connected to a central lower extension of the beam, the set of wheels being encircled by a rolling band. In addition, provision is made for two dampers, one for each of the depth-limiting wheels.

AGRICULTURAL METERING SYSTEM HAVING METER ROLLER SLEEVES

An agricultural metering system includes multiple meter boxes and multiple meter rollers, in which each meter roller is disposed in a respective meter box. The agricultural metering system also includes multiple meter roller sleeves, in which each meter roller sleeve is disposed about a respective meter roller, and each meter roller sleeve is configured to move relative to the respective meter roller to selectively cover a first portion of the respective meter roller and a second portion of the respective meter roller. In addition, the agricultural metering system includes a control bar coupled to the meter roller sleeves. The control bar is configured to collectively move the meter roller sleeves relative to the meter rollers.

Agricultural metering system having meter roller covers

An agricultural metering system includes multiple meter boxes and multiple meter rollers, in which each meter roller is disposed in a respective meter box. The agricultural metering system also includes multiple meter roller covers, in which each meter roller cover is disposed over at least part of a respective meter roller, and each meter roller cover is configured to move relative to the respective meter roller to cover a selected portion of the respective meter roller. In addition, the agricultural metering system includes a control bar coupled to the meter roller covers. The control bar is configured to collectively move the meter roller covers relative to the meter rollers.

PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL SYSTEM

A product distribution control system for an agricultural system includes a controller having a memory and a processor. The controller is configured to receive a first signal indicative of a prescription map. The controller is further configured to determine a first parameter associated with operation of an air cart of the agricultural system based at least in part on the prescription map. The controller is further configured to determine at least one of a second parameter associated with operation of a work vehicle of the agricultural system based at least in part on the prescription map, and a third parameter associated with an implement of the agricultural system based at least in part on the prescription map, wherein the implement includes one or more row units. The controller is further configured to output, in response to determining the first parameter, a second signal indicative of an instruction to control a first element of the air cart based at least in part on the first parameter, output, in response to determining the second parameter, a third signal indicative of an instruction to control a second element of the work vehicle based at least in part on the second parameter, and output, in response to determining the third parameter, a fourth signal indicative of an instruction to control a third element of the implement based at least in part on the third parameter.

Devices, systems, and methods for depositing plant seeds are provided herein. Some embodiments include a seeder head device that includes a body having a proximal end and a distal end spaced a distance from the proximal end, a bore extending through an interior of the body from the proximal end to the distal end, a first hold arm disposed within the bore and coupled to a first actuator, and a second hold arm disposed within the bore and coupled to a second actuator. The bore includes a proximal opening at the proximal end and a distal opening at the distal end, and is shaped and sized to receive seeds at the proximal opening. The first hold arm and the second hold arm are movable to selectively allow one or more of the seeds to fall under force of gravity (or other force) to the distal opening of the bore.

AGRICULTURAL METERING SYSTEM HAVING MULTIPLE SETS OF METER ROLLERS

An agricultural metering device with a variable geometry meter roller is provided. The agricultural metering device includes a meter roller having a plurality of flutes. An aggregate cross sectional area of the flutes increases along a longitudinal axis of the meter roller.
