STRADDLE VEHICLE
A straddle vehicle includes: a prime mover; a hydraulically actuated main clutch; an oil control valve unit; a power unit case accommodating at least the main clutch; an oil pan mounted beneath the power unit case; a clutch-dedicated pump; a primary filter disposed in an oil passage between the oil pan and the clutch-dedicated pump; and a secondary filter disposed in an oil passage between the clutch-dedicated pump and the oil control valve unit. The primary filter and the secondary filter are mounted on a bottom surface of the power unit case and covered from below by the oil pan.
Filter insert and a filter arrangement
A filter insert for being removably arranged in a filter housing includes a first connection arrangement for engaging a corresponding second connection arrangement of a filter housing lid for a connection to the filter housing lid. The first connection arrangement is arranged to simultaneously prevent a relative rotational movement between the filter insert and the filter housing lid and allow a relative axial movement between the filter insert and the filter housing lid.
Filter insert and a filter arrangement
A filter insert for being removably arranged in a filter housing defines a first end and a second end opposite the first end, including a closing arrangement at the first end of the filter insert for controlling opening and closing, respectively, of an aperture, and an actuation arrangement operatively connected to the closing arrangement for actuating the closing arrangement, wherein the actuation arrangement is positioned at the second end of the filter insert and wherein the actuation arrangement is accessible for external contact at the second end of the filter insert.
AN ENGINE OIL SYSTEM AND A LID
The invention relates to an engine oil system (1, 1, 101) for supplying oil to oil using components (3) in a vehicle (800). The engine oil system comprises an oil pan (10) for holding oil received from the oil using components, an oil pump (20) fluidly connected to the oil pan for pumping oil from the oil pan to the oil using components, and an oil filter (30, 30 130) configured for cleaning the oil. The oil filter has a filter inlet (32, 32, 132) for receiving oil to be cleaned, and a filter outlet (34, 34 134) for discharging oil from the oil filter. The oil filter is arranged in the oil pan such that, in use, the filter outlet discharges oil into the oil pan.
Bypass and Full Flow Combination Filter
The present invention relates to a filter for filtration of oil and/or fuel comprising a combination of a bypass filter portion and a full flow filter portion. The present invention also relates to a method of using the filter for filtration of oil and/or fuel to remove the water/moisture and particulate contaminants therein.
Fluid distribution assembly having anti-clog inlet housing
A fluid distribution assembly for distributing a fluid, the fluid distribution assembly includes an inlet housing including a first conduit and a bypass conduit; a chip detector cavity in fluid communication with the first conduit such that the fluid can pass through the first conduit into the chip detector cavity; and an outlet housing in fluid communication with the chip detector cavity and the bypass conduit such that the fluid can pass into the outlet housing through the chip detector cavity and/or the bypass conduit.
Oil filtering system
An oil filtering system comprises: a first inlet, a first outlet, and a first oil filter; a first bypass conduit interconnecting the first inlet to the first outlet; a first valve in the first bypass conduit, the first inlet fluidly connected to the first outlet at least via the first bypass conduit in an opened configuration of the first valve, and via the first oil filter in a closed configuration; a second inlet, a second outlet, and a second oil filter; a second bypass conduit between the first inlet and the second outlet; a second valve disposed in the second bypass conduit, the second outlet fluidly connected to the first inlet via the second bypass conduit in an open configuration of the second valve, and via the second oil filter in the closed configuration thereof.
Cooling and Lubrication System for a Motor Vehicle Drive Unit
A cooling and lubrication system for a motor vehicle drive unit includes a drive unit sump, a first mechanically-driven pump, a second mechanically-driven pump, and an oil/air separator reservoir, among other possible components. The drive unit sump holds drive unit fluid. The first mechanically-driven pump fluidly communicates with the drive unit sump, and the second mechanically-driven pump fluidly communicates with the drive unit sump. The oil/air separator reservoir resides downstream of the first mechanically-driven pump and resides downstream of the second mechanically-driven pump.
Oil filtration system
An oil filtration system includes an oil chamber inlet. Also included is a first screen defining a first chamber volume that receives an oil flow from the oil chamber inlet, the first screen having a first mesh coarseness. Further included is a second screen surrounding the first screen to define a second chamber volume surrounding the first chamber volume, the second screen having a second mesh coarseness that is greater than the first mesh coarseness. Yet further included is at least one exit nozzle having an exit cross-sectional area that is greater than or equal to a cross-sectional area of apertures of the second screen. Also included is a bypass valve disposed in a first position during a first pressure condition within the first chamber volume and in a second position during a second pressure condition within the first chamber volume.
CENTRIFUGAL DEBRIS PRE-SEPARATOR FOR TURBINE ENGINE OIL FILTER
A fluid filtration assembly (FFA) includes a housing having a thickness defined between an internal surface and an external surface, the housing receiving a filter and defining an outer annular flow passage between an outer surface of the filter and the internal surface of the housing; an inlet pipe communicates with the FFA and injects a fluid into the housing to impart a centrifugal force; an outlet pipe communicates with the FFA and discharges the fluid from the housing; and a collection area disposed towards an end of the outer annular flow passage collects particulate matter from the fluid; wherein a width of the outer annular flow passage increases towards the collection area.
