ENGINE OIL SUPPLY SYSTEM

An engine oil supply system may include an oil pan connected with an oil pump at a first side and connected with an oil cooler at a second side, an oil passage through which oil pressurized by the oil pump flows, an oil filter disposed in the oil pan to filter impurities in the oil supplied from the oil pump, and a bypass valve disposed in the oil passage to selectively supply the oil in the oil passage to at least one of the oil cooler and the oil filter.

Motor base having overflow-proof capability

A motor base has a body, a motor mount, a filter mount, a through hole, a passage, a flange, and at least one overflow hole. The motor mount is formed on the top surface of the body. The filter mount is formed on the bottom surface of the body. The through hole is defined through the body. The flange is formed on the bottom surface of the body and is arranged around the filter mount. The at least one overflow hole is defined radially through the flange.

Heat exchanger with bypass valve

A heat exchanger for cooling a liquid has an inlet and an outlet for a liquid to be cooled. A bypass is provided that bypasses the heat exchanger. A valve controls flow of liquid into the heat exchanger or into the bypass. The valve has a valve seat, a valve cone, and at least one spring made of a shape memory material. The at least one spring counteracts a liquid pressure existing in the inlet.

APPARATUS FOR MODIFYING AN ENGINE OIL COOLING SYSTEM

A method of modifying the oil cooling system of a diesel engine includes the steps of removing the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger and installing a manifold having a configuration adapted to match the mounting configuration of the oil passages of the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger. The manifold has an oil outlet port directed to a remotely mounted oil cooler. The manifold also has a water passage having a configuration that is adapted to match the mounting configuration of the water passages of the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger. The water passage causes the entirety of the flow of water to be discharged back to the water cooling system of the engine where it is circulated by the water pump through the water cooling passages in the engine.

SMALL AIR-COOLED ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH DRY SUMP LUBRICATION SYSTEM

An engine assembly includes an engine, an external oil reservoir, a supply pump, and a return pump. The engine includes an oil gallery configured to distribute oil and a crankcase chamber. The external oil reservoir includes an oil tank defining an oil chamber and an oil filter assembly including a housing at least partially defining a filter chamber, and a filter positioned within the filter chamber. The supply pump is in fluid communication with the oil chamber and the oil gallery and the supply pump is configured to draw oil from the oil chamber and provide pressurized oil to the oil gallery. The return pump in fluid communication with the crankcase chamber and the filter chamber and the return pump is configured to draw oil from the crankcase chamber and provide pressurized oil to the filter chamber.

Fluid System

This invention relates to an oil reservoir system for an engine comprising: an oil container which includes an oil reservoir, which is in fluidic communication with an oil circulation system of an engine, a ventilated headspace and an oil filter located at the interior of said oil container.
