Plugging control for an agricultural implement
A plugging control system for an agricultural implement includes a sensor configured to output a sensor signal indicative of plugging of a ground engaging component and a controller having a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to receive the sensor signal indicative of plugging of the ground engaging component from the sensor, determine whether the plugging exceeds a threshold value, and in response to the plugging exceeding the threshold value, output a monitoring signal to perform a monitoring operation, output a control signal to perform a control operation, or both.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND/OR APPARATUS FOR THE DISPLAY OF AGRICULTURAL DATA ON A USER INTERFACE
The use of maps provides planter performance feedback over time in a field and is used in conjunction with traditional onscreen maps so as to quickly see highly detailed numerical and textual information about given areas on a map. Aspects of the graphical user interface are made easier to read in an unobtrusive way through use of a multi-purpose touch-screen display small enough to fit in a tractor cab.
LINEAR ACTUATOR FOR DOWN-FORCE AND LIFT ON PLANTER CLOSING SYSTEM
A furrow closing assembly includes a mounting bracket attachable to a planter opener frame, a rigid closer frame, and a four bar parallel linkage connecting the mounting bracket and the closer frame with a first pivot bearing and a third pivot bearing on the mounting bracket and a second pivot bearing and a fourth pivot on the closer frame. A screw-driven linear actuator extends between the parallel linkage to the closer frame. A shaft of the linear actuator is pivotably attached to a torsion axle that is further fixed to an upper portion of the parallel linkage. A load cell is positioned between the linear actuator and the closer frame.
SYSTEMS AND APPARATUSES FOR SOIL AND SEED MONITORING
A system that is able to vary a depth of a row cleaner by adjusting a downforce applied to the row cleaner to promote planting at a desired seed depth and soil moisture.
System and method for controlling the operation of a seed-planting implement based on cover crop density
In one aspect, a system for controlling the operation of a seed-planting implement may include a ground-engaging tool and an actuator configured to adjust an operating parameter of the ground-engaging tool. Furthermore, the system may include a controller configured to control the operation of the seed-planting implement such that a primary crop is planted in a field as the seed-planting implement is being moved across the field. Additionally, the controller may be configured to determine a density of a cover crop present within the field. Moreover, the controller may be configured to determine an adjustment to be made to the operating parameter of the ground-engaging tool based on the determined density. In addition, the controller may be configured to control the operation of the actuator to execute the adjustment of the operating parameter.
APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR SEED DOUBLE ELIMINATION IN AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS
Example apparatuses, systems, and methods associated with seed double eliminators are disclosed. An example seed double eliminator includes at least one tine that is disposed adjacent to an inner surface of a seed disc. The at least one tine is pivotably movable about an axis of rotation to engage seed doubles located at one or more locations along the inner surface of the seed disc and eliminate excess seeds such that a single seed is retained at the location. The at least one tine is pivotably movable in response to operation of a position selector to cause an angular orientation of the tine to become altered.
System and method for monitoring soil conditions based on data received from a sensor mounted within a ground-engaging tool tooth
In one aspect, a system for monitoring soil composition within a field using an agricultural machine may include a ground-engaging tool configured to rotate relative to soil within a field as the agricultural machine is moved across the field. The ground-engaging tool may, in turn, include a tooth defining a cavity therein, with the cavity including an opening. Furthermore, the system may include a sensor positioned within the cavity, with the sensor configured emit an output signal through the opening for reflection off of the soil within the field. The sensor may also be configured to detect the reflected output signal as a return signal, with a parameter of the return signal being indicative of a soil composition of the soil within the field.
Universal row clearer bracket system and method
A universal row clearing bracket including a mounting bracket configured to engage a toolbar of a tractor, wherein the mounting bracket may have a yoke engaged therewith. The yoke may connect to a first and second pivoting arm. One end of the pivoting arms configured to engage the yoke such that the yoke prevents the pivoting arms from moving with respect to the receiver past a certain point in at least one direction. The opposite end of the pivoting arms connecting to an interchangeable shoe, the interchangeable shoe configured to pivotally engage at least one engaging wheel and be replaced for other shoes to support different size engaging wheels.
SEEDER ROW UNIT HAVING A CLOSING SYSTEM
A row unit of a seeder includes a frame configured to be coupled to a toolbar of the seeder. The row unit also includes a single opener disc rotatably coupled to the frame and a closing system. The closing system includes a closing disc arm pivotally coupled to the frame, and a closing disc rotatably coupled to the closing disc arm. The closing system also includes a closing disc actuator coupled to the closing disc arm. Furthermore, the closing system includes a packer wheel arm pivotally coupled to the frame. The packer wheel arm and the closing disc arm are configured to rotate independently of one another relative to the frame. The closing system also includes a packer wheel rotatably coupled to the packer wheel arm. Furthermore, the closing system includes a packer wheel actuator coupled to the frame and to the packer wheel arm.
TRENCH CLOSING ASSEMBLY
A trench closing assembly having an actuator for applying a force to the trench closing assembly in which the force is divided between closing wheels and a press wheel disposed rearward of the closing wheels.
