SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOBILE SUBVEHICULAR ACCESS AND TREATMENT OF GROUND SURFACES ABOUT OCCUPIED RAIL TRACKS
A system and method are provided for subvehicularly accessed treatment of ground surfaces about a rail track occupied by a rail vehicle. A mobile treatment unit having a propulsion mechanism for subvehicular passage between the rails occupied by the rail vehicle includes a dispensing portion for expelling a treatment material therefrom onto regions of the ground surface about the rails. The mobile treatment unit is maneuverable between the rails and maintains height clearance for unobstructed passage beneath the occupying rail vehicle. At least one sensor unit is coupled to the mobile treatment unit, which acquires environmental feedback data about the mobile treatment unit. A control unit is operably linked to the mobile treatment and sensor units, and receives the environmental feedback data. The control unit controls actuation of the mobile treatment unit responsive to the environmental feedback and/or a maneuver control command.
Solid carrier sprayer apparatus and methods of using same
A solid carrier sprayer apparatus, including a solid carrier container, a liquid container, a solid carrier spreading apparatus, and a liquid application apparatus is provided. The solid carrier spreading apparatus can be coupled to receive solid carrier from the solid carrier container, and is configured to drop the received solid carrier substantially evenly over an area of ground. The liquid application apparatus can be coupled to receive liquid from the liquid container, and is configured to spray received liquid substantially evenly over the received solid carrier, such that the liquid is sprayed substantially evenly over the received solid carrier before the solid carrier is dropped substantially evenly over the area of ground. Methods of using a solid carrier sprayer apparatus are also discussed.
Agitator drive system for a product metering system
An agitation system includes a plurality of modular agitators, and each modular agitator of the plurality of modular agitators includes an agitator configured to couple to a respective modular meter of a plurality of modular meters. Each modular agitator of the plurality of modular agitators also includes an agitator drive assembly configured to drive the agitator. The agitation system also includes a controller configured to receive meter speed data from the plurality of modular meters. The controller is configured to determine an operation for the agitator of each of the plurality of modular agitators and independently control the agitator drive assembly of each of the plurality of modular agitators.
Pneumatic conveyor device for granular material and agricultural distributing machine
A pneumatic conveying device for conveying granular material, in particular seeds and/or fertilizer, includes at least one blower with at least one outlet, to which the at least one main air supply line is connected, into which flows an air flow generated by the blower. The at least one main air supply line leads into an air inlet of an air distribution device for controlling the volumetric air flow. The air distribution device has an even number of air outlets, to which the respective one connecting line is connected, to which a metering device for supplying the granular material is connected. The air distribution device is embodied as a cylindrical housing with a rotary slide valve arranged therein, which is equipped for changing an outlet cross-section of the air outlets in order to manipulate the supplied volumetric air flow for transporting the granular material coming from the respective metering device.
METERING ASSEMBLY, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT
A metering assembly for distribution of agricultural product includes a transfer chamber having an open upper end for receiving product into a chamber interior, and a chamber width extending along a lateral axis. The metering assembly further includes a plurality of metering devices coupled to the transfer chamber. Each metering device has a rotary propelling member with a protruding portion that protrudes into the chamber interior and a meter outlet external the chamber. The metering devices are arranged in pairs, each pair including a first metering device of the plurality of metering devices and a second metering device of the plurality of metering devices. The protruding portions of the first and second metering devices of each pair are spaced apart from one another on opposite sides of the lateral axis.
SWING DISC SPREADER, SPREADING DEVICE AND UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE
A swing disc spreader includes a swing disc which is arranged to be rotatable; and a swing driving mechanism, which is in transmission connection to the swing disc and used for driving the swing disc to swing reciprocatingly, the swing disc being configured to be in contact with materials during a swinging process so as to spread the materials outwards. In the technical solution provided in the present application, the swing disc spreader can achieve the spreading operation of materials simply by using one swing disc, such that the swing disc spreader has a simpler structure, achieves a reduced overall size and a relatively uniform spreading width, thus reducing the cost.
Agricultural machines having sectional control, and related systems and methods
An agricultural machine includes a product bin configured to store particulate material; a conveyor configured to draw the particulate material from the product bin; a distribution plate including a plurality of apertures; and a sectional control funnel box mounted on the distribution plate. The sectional control funnel box is configured to receive particulate material from the conveyor, and has a plurality of chutes extending therethrough and connecting the sectional control funnel box to the distribution plate. Distribution lines are configured to receive particulate material from a single aperture of the distribution plate and provide the particulate material to a distribution point of the distribution line. A system controller is configured to individually control a flow of the particulate material to each distribution line based on a location of the agricultural machine. Related systems and methods are also disclosed.
PROTECTIVE AGRICULTURAL VOLUMETRIC METER
A volumetric meter having a roller configured for rotation within a housing aperture of a roller housing. A plurality of chambers of the roller are used for metering an agricultural commodity, each chamber being defined by at least a pair of flutes. In controlling an amount or height of the commodity displaced from an inlet of the roller housing and into the housing aperture with the rotation of the roller, the volumetric meter can include a sweep assembly having a sweep body that includes a compliant sweeper portion. As the roller rotates, the compliant sweeper portion can be configured to be displaced, including deformed, bent, or deflected, by a force exerted on the sweeper portion by agricultural commodity while still providing a barrier to a displacement of at least some commodity into the housing aperture to assist in preventing commodity from becoming wedged between the flutes and the roller housing.
