The aquaporin vesicles are formed by self-assembly of block copolymers in the presence of an aquaporin protein suspension.

The present invention provides probiotic compositions for promoting plant growth. The compositions include bacterial cultures of phyllobacteria and rhizobacteria isolated from media supplemented with rare earth elements. Applicants have found that such bacteria act synergistically with rare earth elements to enhance plant growth. Inoculums of the plant growth promoting bacteria for application to plants, plant seeds, or plant growth media are provided. Also provided are methods for stimulating plant growth by applying the bacterial cultures and inoculums.

A method for applying a spray agent to an agricultural land using a spray nozzle unit of an agricultural spray device. The method includes detecting first and second field sections of the agricultural land using an optical detection unit to obtain first and second pieces of image information from the first and second field sections, wherein the pieces of image information have a common lateral overlapping area having a depth in the travel direction of the agricultural spray device; classifying plants in the obtained pieces of image information using a control unit; determining first and second plant identification numbers for first and second image evaluation areas in the obtained first and second pieces of image information using the classified plants; and applying the spray agent as a function of the determined plant identification numbers using the spray nozzle unit of the agricultural spray device.

A method for irrigation of a crop capable of producing Cannabidiol (CBD) comprises irrigating the crop with a nanobubble hydrogen rich water (HRW-nano), whereby a concentration of CBD in the crop increased as a result of irrigating with the HRW-nano, compared to irrigation with an irrigation water having the same composition except without added hydrogen (control irrigation).

Presented herein are systems and methods for automatically determining liquid coverage on plant surfaces. More particularly, in certain embodiments, presented herein is a system for receiving an image depicting one or more plant surfaces, automatically identifying the plant surfaces in the image and distinguishing portions covered by liquid, and automatically determining a liquid coverage value. In some embodiments, the system determines changes to liquid spraying parameters to achieve desired liquid coverage values. In some embodiments, the system uses two cameras to cooperatively conduct background removal in images and determination of liquid coverage.

A multi-axis linkage for use with a collapsible boom of an agricultural vehicle is disclosed. The collapsible boom includes a first boom segment having a first truss and a second boom segment having a second truss. The multi-axis linkage includes a first linear motor, a second linear motor, and a multipoint winged link. The first linear motor has a piston rod. An end of the piston rod is coupled to the first truss. The second linear motor has a second piston rod. An end of the second piston rod is coupled to the second truss. The multipoint winged link connects to the first linear motor, the second linear motor, the first boom segment, and the second boom segment.

An agricultural machine includes a source of a substance to be applied to an agricultural field and a substance outlet through which the substance is configured to pass to be applied to the field. The agricultural machine further includes a controllable piezo-actuated valve and a control signal generator configured to generate a valve control signal. The piezo-actuated valve includes a valve inlet configured to be in fluidic communication with the source of substance to be applied to the field and a valve outlet through which the substance to be applied to the field passes to move through the piezo-actuated valve. The piezo-actuated valve further includes a piezo element configured to move in response to the valve control signal and a flexure, coupled to the piezo element, and configured to amplify the movement of the piezo element to provide a valve driving movement.
