VALVE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING TRAVELER WITH SLOTTED PLUNGER AND AGRICULTURAL FLUID APPLICATION SYSTEMS INCLUDING SAME
A three-way valve assembly includes a housing assembly and a diaphragm drip check. The housing assembly defines an inlet, a return outlet, a dispensing outlet, a return flow path extending from the inlet to the return outlet, and a dispensing flow path extending from the inlet to the dispensing outlet. The diaphragm drip check includes a plunger and a diaphragm retained within a sensing chamber, at least one magnet coupled to the plunger and generating a magnetic field, and a sensing assembly. The plunger is operatively coupled to the diaphragm such that deflection of the diaphragm causes corresponding displacement of the plunger. The sensing assembly includes a printed circuit board and at least one sensor, the printed circuit board positioned on the housing assembly such that the at least one sensor is affected by the at least one magnet as the plunger is displaced within the sensing chamber.
LIQUID JET SOIL PROCESSING SYSTEMS
A nozzle assembly is attached to an agricultural implement comprising a liquid jet soil processing system. The nozzle assembly includes a frame configured to detachably mount to the agricultural implement and a cutting head connected to the frame. The nozzle assembly also includes a secondary nozzle connected to the frame and disposed distal to the cutting head relative to a direction of travel of the nozzle assembly. The nozzle assembly further includes a ground translation device connected to the frame. A tuning unit of the nozzle assembly dynamically connects the cutting head, the secondary nozzle and the ground translation device to the frame. The tuning unit is configured to maintain the cutting head substantially perpendicular to the field surface along a vertical axis as the ground translation device travels across the field.
Implements and application units having at least one application member for placement of applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields
Implements and applicators provide for placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, a fluid applicator for applying fluids to plants in rows in a field includes a base disposed between adjacent rows of plants, and at least one application member connected to the base and disposed to apply fluid to a rhizosphere of a row of the plants.
Implements and application units having at least one flexible or pivoting application member for placement of applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields
Described herein are implements and applicators for placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, a fluid applicator for applying fluids to plants in rows in a field includes a base, at least one flexible or pivoting application member connected to the base and disposed to apply fluid to the plants, and a stabilizer associated with the at least one flexible or pivoting application member. The stabilizer can reduce movement of the application member to provide a more consistent fluid application to the plants.

Implements include application units for placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, an application unit includes a frame to be positioned in operation between two rows of plants and a plurality of flexible members coupled to the frame in operation such that the plurality of flexible members guide a lateral position of the frame to be approximately equidistant from the two rows of plants based upon whether at least one flexible member of the plurality of flexible members contacts one or more plants of the two rows of plants. The plurality of flexible members include a plurality of fluid outlets for spraying crop input in close proximity to the rows of plants.
Systems, methods, and apparatus for agricultural liquid application
A liquid application apparatus for applying liquid to soil during a planting operation, having: a ground-engaging component mounted to a planter row unit, the planter row unit opening a planting trench, the planter row unit depositing seeds in the planting trench, the ground-engaging component disposed at least partially within the planting trench as the planter row unit traverses the field; a first liquid injection conduit mounted to the ground-engaging component and disposed to inject liquid into a first sidewall of the planting trench, and wherein the ground-engaging component is mounted in a housing via at least one of a height adjustment arm that is pivotably mounted in the housing to allow for height adjustment of the ground-engaging component, and a spring that is pivotably mounted in the housing to allow for vertical deflection of the ground-engaging component.

Device for shaping the profile of a furrow, sensing soil properties and dosing fluids in the soil of an agricultural field, includes a body comprising an upper portion and lower portion defining a right lateral face and a left lateral face that are laterally opposite, a front face and a rear face that are longitudinally opposite, and an upper face and lower face that are vertically opposite, wherein the laterally opposite faces at the lower portion of the body are angled relative to a vertical direction forming a V-shaped profile cross section for V-shaping furrows; damping and biasing means linked to the upper face of the body; a fluid dosing conduit including an inlet and an outlet, and being longitudinally arranged within the body; sensing means on a face of the body for measuring soil properties; and a sensing unit for commanding the sensing means and receiving information thereof.
