Cooling fan control device for construction machine

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cooling fan control device for a construction machine, whereby the effects of heat caused by warm-up operation can be suppressed. This cooling fan control device is equipped with a control unit (10a) that controls the rotational speed of a cooling fan (21) in accordance with a main pump discharge pressure (P) detected by a main pump discharge pressure sensor (25), an engine cooling water temperature (Tw) detected by an engine cooling water temperature sensor (26), a hydraulic oil temperature (To) detected by a hydraulic oil temperature sensor (27), and an engine rotational speed (E) detected by an engine rotational speed sensor (28). The cooling fan (21) is rotated at the rotational speed controlled by the control unit (10a), thereby sending the generated cooling air to an oil cooler (19) and a control valve (13).

A control system that uses an algorithm to control the fan speed in a cooling system for an engine is disclosed. The algorithm is adapted to maintain a cooling medium at a set temperature instead of an operating temperature range of the cooling medium. The algorithm is also adapted to maintain a cooling medium at a set temperature and to build a cooling safety margin in response to an engine output torque percentage that is below an output torque percentage setpoint.

Airflow Control System For An Agricultural Machine

Agricultural machines such as sprayers can be improved by providing a control system configured to adjust an engine cooling package fan with variable speeds, to thereby minimize parasitic losses, based on progress of the HVAC system for attaining a desired temperature in the operator cab. In one aspect, as a gap between actual and desired temperatures (temperature differential) in the cab minimizes, the cooling package fan can be variably adjusted to increase or decrease in speed, depending on heating or cooling occurring in the cab, respectively. However, if a temperature of an area in the engine compartment reaches a predetermined threshold, such variable speed control can cease, and the cooling package fan can instead be controlled to cool the area.
