HYBRID VEHICLE AND METHOD OF COOLING TURBOCHARGER
When a prescribed execution condition is satisfied at the time of transition from HV traveling (that is, traveling performed by an engine and a motor with generation of traveling driving force by the engine) to EV traveling (that is, traveling performed by the motor without generation of traveling driving force by the engine), a controller of a hybrid vehicle performs motoring (or a self-sustaining operation) of an engine and thereafter stops the engine.
TEMPERATURE RESPONSIVE VARIABLE WATER PUMP AND ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM
A water pump of an engine cooling system includes a thermal valve that divides an outlet space of a pump housing of an outlet port, through which the engine coolant pumped into the internal space of a pump housing is discharged, into a front end discharge region and a rear end discharge region. The thermal valve also forms a dual flow path through which the engine coolant is discharged to the front end discharge region and the rear end discharge region according to the increase of the coolant temperature. The cooling of a cylinder block and a cylinder head of an engine are thus separately adjusted.
HEAT DISTRIBUTION DEVICE FOR HYBRID VEHICLE
A heat distribution device for hybrid vehicle is provided, including: an engine cooling circuit through which cooling water for cooling an internal combustion engine circulates; a MG cooling circuit through which a refrigerant for cooling a motor generator circulates; and a heat exchanger which performs heat exchange between the cooling water and the refrigerant. When it is determined based on a charging rate SOC of a battery that the battery can be charged, charging control is performed to charge the battery with electric power generated in a regenerative operation; when it is determined that the battery cannot be charged, heat dissipation control is performed to dissipate the heat generated by the regenerative operation to the engine cooling circuit side by the heat exchange between the refrigerant and the cooling water in the heat exchanger.
Surgical stapling instrument having a releasable buttress material
A surgical stapler including an anvil, a staple cartridge, and a buttress material removably retained to the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In various embodiments, the staple cartridge can include at least one staple removably stored therein which can, when deployed, or fired, therefrom, contact the buttress material and remove the buttress material from the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In at least one embodiment, the anvil can include at least one lip and/or groove configured to removably retain the buttress material to the anvil until deformable members extending from the surgical staple are bent by the anvil and are directed toward and contact the buttress material.
Hybrid intercooler system capable of controlling oil temperature and method of controlling the same
A hybrid intercooler system is provided to adjust an oil temperature. The system includes an air cooling unit that exchanges heat with external air passing through outer surfaces of a plurality of compressed intake air channels and cools compressed intake air passing through interiors of the compressed intake air channels. A water cooling unit exchanges heat between engine cooling water enclosing the outer surfaces of the compressed intake air channels and the compressed intake air passing through the interiors of the compressed intake air channels and cools the compressed intake air. Additionally, an oil temperature controller exchanges heat between oil and the engine cooling water that is heated by the heat exchange performed by the water cooling unit and adjusts the temperature of the oil.
Waste heat recovery apparatus and method for controlling waste heat recovery apparatus
A waste heat recovery apparatus includes an evaporator, an expander, a condenser, a liquid-phase refrigerant supply device, and a control device. The control device is configured to control the liquid-phase refrigerant supply device so as to bring the supply of the liquid-phase refrigerant by the liquid-phase refrigerant supply device into a stopped state at least until an amount of the liquid-phase refrigerant stored in the evaporator becomes equal to or lower than a predetermined low refrigerant amount, during operation of the internal combustion engine.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine, especially a diesel internal combustion engine, having at least one intercooler, at least one control unit, at least a first and a second cooling circuit, whereby the cooler of the first cooling circuit is flow-connected to a cooling circuit of the internal combustion engine, while the cooler of the second cooling circuit of the internal combustion engine is flow-connected to the intercooler.
Surgical staple cartridge including tissue supporting surfaces
A surgical stapler including an anvil, a staple cartridge, and a buttress material removably retained to the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In various embodiments, the staple cartridge can include at least one staple removably stored therein which can, when deployed, or fired, therefrom, contact the buttress material and remove the buttress material from the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In at least one embodiment, the anvil can include at least one lip and/or groove configured to removably retain the buttress material to the anvil until deformable members extending from the surgical staple are bent by the anvil and are directed toward and contact the buttress material.
Coolant pump for a vehicle
A Pump for recirculating a cooling fluid of a vehicle comprises a pump body, which is fixed during use; an impeller mounted on a driven shaft; with a friction coupling of the electromagnetic type, made of a fixed electromagnet, a rotor and an armature. A pulley for taking up a rotational movement is connected to a movement source such as a shaft of the combustion engine of the vehicle and mounted on an outer bearing keyed onto the pump body. An electric motor is provided for driving the driven shaft independently of the movement take-up pulley; and a bell member is fastened to an end of the driven shaft opposite to that which carries the impeller. The friction coupling is designed to rotationally couple/decouple the pulley and bell member and the electric motor is arranged inside the bell member on the opposite side to the impeller relative to friction coupling.
Cooling device for internal combustion engine
A cooling device includes: an air blast passage; a heater core that is disposed in the air blast passage; an air blast volume adjusting member that is opened and closed to adjust an air blast volume which flows in the heater core; a flow rate adjuster that adjusts a flow rate of the coolant which is introduced into the heater core; and a controller. The controller sets the flow rate of the coolant which is adjusted by the flow rate adjuster to be less than a lower limit value of an adjustable range of the flow rate of the coolant which is adjusted by the flow rate adjuster in a vehicle compartment air-conditioning state in which the air blast volume adjusting member allows an air blast to flow to the heater core when the air blast volume adjusting member fully closes the heater core side of the air blast passage.
