Remote-Control Slope Mowing System with Safety Features
Mowing systems include a mower and a remote control unit such as a handheld unit, between which is provided 1- or 2-way communications. Components and features are included in the mower, the remote control unit, or both to enhance the safety, functionality, or user experience of the system's user/operator. One aspect relates to an enable switch on the remote control unit that requires activation within a specified time before activating a drive system or PTO unit. Another aspect relates to sharing diagnostic information between the mower and remote control unit and emitting user-detectable warnings in response to the shared information. Another aspect relates to reducing a danger level of the system, e.g. disabling the PTO unit or slowing a drive speed transform function, when a proximity between the mower and the remote control unit is too small. Another aspect relates to controlling operation of the mower based on tilt angles of both the mower and the remote control unit.
DEVICE FOR HARVESTING ASPARAGUS GROWING FROM AN ASPARAGUS FIELD
A device for harvesting asparagus growing from a asparagus field that includes a frame displaceable over the asparagus field by a drive means in which frame is at least provided with cutting means for cutting the asparagus to be harvested close to the surface of the field, and stabilizing means for stabilizing the asparagus relative to the cutting means.

Charging station mounted on a powered driveable machine
A mower having a supplemental battery charging station mounted thereon is provided. The mower utilizes a flywheel/alternator arrangement to output a selected voltage. The voltage is directed to the supplement battery charging station. The supplemental batteries are thereby charged at the charging station as the mower is driven forward or in another direction. The lawn mower also includes a rack (which may be in the form of a hook) to carry a battery powered supplemental lawn maintenance tool, such as a weed trimmer, hedger, edger, or leaf blower, amongst others.
AUTONOMOUS CROP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A crop management apparatus for selectively severing plant items from a plurality of plants. The apparatus comprises: a sensor unit for sensing aspects of the plurality of plants and generating data indicative thereof; a control unit for processing the data to determine a location of a target plant item suitable for severing; a cutter unit comprising at least one selectively deployable cutter for severing the target plant item from its respective plant; and a prime mover for moving the sensor unit and the at least one selectively deployable cutter across the plurality of plants. The control unit outputs a control signal to deploy the at least one selectively deployable cutter at least in part based on the determined location of the target plant item. When the at least one selectively deployable cutter is in a deployed state, severance of the target plant item occurs at least in part based on movement of the prime mover.

Dual powered riding lawn mower
A dual powered riding lawn mower including a riding mower. The riding mower includes a mowing deck having at least one mowing blade therein. The mower blade is connected to a blade shaft. The blade shaft is connected to a clutch and gear box. The gear box will enable a user to switch between manual power and a battery powered motor. The manual power will include a set of pedals that will spin the blade shaft and propel the riding lawn mower forward. When the electric motor is engaged the pedals are used to charge the battery via an alternator connected to the gear box.
APPARATUS FOR CUTTING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT
An apparatus for cutting agricultural product having: a frame; a first cutting component; and a support for the first cutting component on the frame that is driven to cause the first cutting component to be moved in a cutting path. The first cutting component has a body with a first serrated cutting edge to sever agricultural product engaged thereagainst. The first cutting edge has a length and a plurality of teeth spaced from each other in a lengthwise direction. Each tooth has a tip, Spacing between the tooth tips is non-uniform over a majority of the length of the first cutting edge.

CUTTER ASSEMBLY FOR AN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER
An improved cutter assembly for use with a header of an agricultural harvester is provided. The assembly includes a pair of oppositely directed knife blades or cutter bars and a center knife drive. A crank shaft drives both knife blades in linear reciprocating paths with no fore and aft movement. As a consequence, harmful fore and aft vibration is eliminated. The assembly is simple and durable in design, less susceptible to vibration-induced wear and tear, and comparatively simple to manufacture and repair.
