A mowing assembly that is towed behind an agricultural vehicle. The mowing assembly has an integrated lateral transport mechanism that is deployed using actuators such as hydraulic actuators. A physical support is provided between a trail frame that supports a mowing device and a transport frame to support the mowing device and the trail frame in the event of an actuator failure during transport.

An agricultural machine having: a header frame; a crop cutter mounted to the frame; a first transmission operatively connected to the crop cutter and defining a first power flow path to drive the crop cutter by operative motion of a first transmission input; an auger rotatably mounted to the frame to rotate relative to the frame about a rotation axis; and a second transmission operatively connected between the crop cutter and the auger and defining a second power flow path to drive the auger by operative motion of the crop cutter.

A mower implement includes a cutter bar extending along a central bar axis. A rotating blade assembly is mounted on the cutter bar. The rotating blade assembly includes a disc rotatable about a disc rotation axis relative to the cutter bar, and at least one blade pivotably mounted to the disc. A blade sensor is mounted on the cutter bar. The blade sensor has a sensing field, and is positioned to detect movement of the at least one blade of the rotating blade assembly through the sensing field during each rotation of the disc about the disc rotation axis. A diagnostic controller receives the data signal from the blade sensor and is configured to analysis the blade signal and identify a fault in the rotating blade assembly. The diagnostic controller may then notify an operator of the identified fault.
