HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger for a motor vehicle may include a tube block and a flange. The tube block may multiple first medium channels and multiple second medium channels. The first and the second medium channels may extend from an inlet of the tube block to an outlet of the tube block. A medium to be cooled may flow through the first medium channels. A cooling medium may flow through the second medium channels. The flange may be configured to receive the tube block about the outlet in a fluid-tight manner. The flange may be plate-like and may have a surrounding bolting region that may be formed about the tube block.

Pressurized air induction system
Methods are provided for engines. In one example, method, at higher engine load, cool compressed air is drawn into an engine via an air intake passage, and at lower engine load, ambient air is drawn into the engine via a duct while retaining cooled compressed air in the air intake passage. The compressed air may be released from the air intake passage based on heat transferred to the compressed air during the lower engine load, in at least one example.
COMPACT HEAT EXCHANGER WITH WAVY FIN TURBULIZER
A heat exchanger includes a fluid flow passage with a wavy fin turbulizer. The turbulizer includes sidewalls extending lengthwise along a fluid flow direction between its first and second ends, and the sidewalls are spaced apart across the width of the turbulizer. Each flow channel of the turbulizer is defined between two adjacent sidewalls. Each sidewall has a smoothly and continuously curved profile with repeating wave forms being defined along the length of the turbulizer. The continuously curved profile of the sidewalls is defined by a non-circular shape, such as elliptical, sinusoidal, parabolic and hyperbolic shapes. The radius of curvature changes constantly and reaches a maximum at or near the inflection point between adjacent crests and troughs of the profile, to provide improved particle pass-through, lower pressure drop, and enhanced plateability of internal surfaces.
Heat Exchanger Arrangement, Method for Producing a Heat Exchanger Arrangement, and Internal Combustion Engine Having the Heat Exchanger Arrangement
A heat exchanger arrangement is provided with a housing provided with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet and designed to be flowed through by the fluid. A heat exchanger is arranged in the housing between fluid inlet and fluid outlet and surrounded by the housing. The heat exchanger is arranged such that the fluid can flow through the heat exchanger. The housing has a seal contour. The heat exchanger is connected with form fit at a fluid inlet of the heat exchanger or at a fluid outlet of the heat exchanger to the seal contour of the housing. In a method of producing the heat exchanger arrangement, a seal surface of the seal contour of the housing is melted and pressed against a seal region of the heat exchanger at the fluid inlet of the heat exchanger or at the fluid outlet of the heat exchanger.
ENGINE
The engine includes a cylinder head provided over a cylinder row, an intercooler provided on one end side of the cylinder head in a row direction of the cylinder row, an air supply manifold to introduce air from the intercooler to the cylinder head, and a cooling piping connected to the intercooler, where the cylinder head, air supply manifold, and cooling piping are arranged in a width direction intersecting the row direction of the cylinder row in stated order of the cylinder head, air supply manifold, and cooling piping, and in a cross section of the air supply manifold taken along a line intersecting the row direction, a length along the width direction is shorter than a length along a direction intersecting both the row direction and the width direction.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger including a plurality of fluid channel plates laminated on each other to form a cooling water fluid channel through which cooling water flows and an air fluid channel through which air flows. The fluid channel plates have a cooling water inlet hole through which the cooling water is introduced and a cooling water outlet hole through which the cooling water is discharged. Beads block the flow of the cooling water, protrude between the cooling water inlet hole and the cooling water outlet hole, are arranged to surround the periphery of the cooling water inlet hole and the cooling water outlet hole, and are spaced apart such that flow resistance of the cooling water decreases as a flow length of the cooling water increases, so that flow distribution of the cooling water can be uniform.
Heat exchanger, air intake system with a heat exchanger, and method for mounting a heat exchanger
A heat exchanger for cooling intake air with a coolant is provided with a shell and first and second front faces, wherein one of the front faces is an inlet and the other an outlet for intake air. The shell has at least one coupling element disposed along a circumferential line of the shell that is spaced apart from the first front face by a predetermined distance. The shell has a port as an inlet or outlet for the coolant. The port is arranged at a spacing from the first front face. The spacing is larger than the predetermined distance. The shell has an insertion section between first front face and circumferential line. The shell has an internal duct system connected to the port for guiding the coolant into the insertion section. The coupling element can fixedly couple with at least one corresponding coupling element of an air duct.

PRESSURIZED AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM
Methods are provided for engines.
