Centrifugal blower
A centrifugal blower is described herein. The centrifugal blower may be a belt-driven geared centrifugal blower. The centrifugal blower may comprise an impeller, an inlet, and an outlet. The impeller pulls air in through the inlet, compresses and speeds up the air, and directs the air out the outlet. A motor may power a pulley system coupled to the belt that, in turn, drives a gear set. The gear set then drives the impeller. A mounting frame for the centrifugal blower may comprise a plurality of mounting holes for increasing the airflow to the gear set for cooling there. A belt tensioner may be coupled to the pulley system for setting a preload in the pulley system. An adjustment system for adjusting the tension provided by the belt tensioner is disclosed.

Interstage electric alternator for micro-turbine alternator applications
An electrical power generation system including a micro-turbine alternator including a combustion chamber, at least one turbine driven by combustion gases from the combustion chamber, a first stage compressor, and a second stage compressor located aft of the first stage compressor. The first stage compressor and the second stage compressor being operably connected to the combustion chamber to provide a compressed airflow thereto. The micro-turbine alternator including one or more shafts connecting the at least one turbine to the first stage compressor and the second stage compressor such that rotation of the at least one turbine drives rotation of the first and second stage compressor. An electric generator is disposed along the one or more shafts such that electrical power is generated via rotation of the one or more shafts. The electric generator is disposed along the one or more shafts between the first and second stage compressors.

Powerplant and related control system and method
A hydrogen fueled powerplant including an internal combustion engine that drives a motor-generator, and has a two-stage turbocharger, for an aircraft. A control system controls the operation of the motor-generator to maintain the engine at a speed selected based on controlling the engine equivalence ratio. The control system controls an afterburner, an intercooler and an aftercooler to maximize powerplant efficiency. The afterburner also adds power to the turbochargers during high-altitude restarts. The turbochargers also include motor-generators that extract excess power from the exhaust.

Diesel turbocharger system and method of use
A turbocharger system for diesel trucks includes a compressor in gaseous communication with an engine; a turbine in gaseous communication with the engine via an exhaust manifold; the compressor intakes and compresses air to be pushed to the engine; an air compressor with one or more air tanks, the air compressor to pressurize and store air; one or more pipes connecting the air compressor to the exhaust manifold; a solenoid valve to open and close the one or more pipes between the air compressor and the exhaust manifold; and a control system to operate the solenoid valve; a command from the control system to the solenoid valve opens the solenoid valve to push air from the air compressor to the exhaust manifold to expand and speed up a turbo of the engine.

TURBINE ASSEMBLY FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A turbine assembly for an internal combustion engine having: a first turbine that rotates around a first rotation axis and is configured to rotate due to the thrust exerted by exhaust gases emitted by the internal combustion engine; a second turbine which is independent of and separate from the first turbine, rotates around a second rotation axis parallel to and spaced from the first rotation axis, and is configured to rotate due to the thrust exerted by exhaust gases emitted by the internal combustion engine; an electric generator operated by the first turbine; and a transmission device that connects both the turbines to the same electric generator.
